CARPLAY

Let us know what the Lucid tech says. I've had precisely the same issues. Tried every recommendation. Even having Firmware 2.5.2 didn't help.

Tech came yesterday and we unpaired, repaired the phone and CarPlay reappeared. When we went out to dinner later, CarPlay would not show on the dash, so I had to go into devices and hit the CarPlay icon there. That’s brought up the display.
On the way home, it came up on the Home Screen as it should, but we will see how long that lasts. I don’t hold out much hope, since I’ve been through this numerous times.
Wish me luck!

Private message me next time that happens. We can get on a phone call and I can help you. There’s no need to have tech come out to do that, it’s good to know how to do that yourself.

I lost connectivity to CarPlay after the last update and ignored it until today. After reading the posts, I did one simple thing recommended by Bobby, I disabled WiFi in the car settings and presto, I have CarPlay.

Bobby, I appreciate the offer, and may yet take you up on it. I actually know how to do all the tech did yesterday, having done it more than once myself. I am going to try the disabling of Wi-Fi to see if that makes a difference long term.
Thanks again for the offer, and Happy New Year!

Thanks. I’m going to give that a try

I also have constantly had issues with CarPlay. I have gone through the video from Bobby and his recommendation to remove everything and starting from scratch. It works for a few times and again stops working. I have my entire family trying to connect and have had problems and given up. We all have iPhone 13/14 with IOS 18.3. Never have any issues with CarPlay with any of my other cars.

18.3 is beta software and as such you can’t expect it to work like release iOS.
Also: is WiFi off in the car? Do you have a VPN?

I’ve had almost zero issues with CarPlay for the past year or more. I also turned off WiFi in the car and never looked back.

I can’t prove one has anything to do with the other. But I can recommend at least trying to go without WiFi in the car. It makes no difference in OTA downloads, as far as I can tell.

Unless your garage just has zero cell signal, in which case, that’s a tough call. Even then, I’d turn on WiFi when someone here reports a new OTA. And only when I wasn’t driving.

Sorry not sure why I said 18.3. I am on 18.1.1. I have had problems with previous IOS versions too.

Unfortunately I need to keep VPN ON on my phone. I can turn wifi off and see.
I’m pretty much willing to guarantee that that is your issue. A quick Google search turns up numerous results with the same problem. Just try turning it off for a few minutes to test it if you can.

Ok will give it a try and report back.

I just today got a new air pure for my mom and it was not showing the AppleCar play. Tried doing the things I do with my GT by turning off Bluetooth and those steps like the ones mentioned on Bobby’s page but was not able to. The showroom guys also tried but could not.
I started having this glitch in my GT since OTA 4.2 but with those steps I could get the car play working and I started using my usb to not have the issue again.
Will try again tomorrow on my moms but hope this gets addressed soon
Just updating- tried fixing moms car and it’s not a problem from lucid it was my moms phone. She restricted apps because of which she could not get the Apple car play. Fixed it and it working fine.

I have followed every suggestion. Wifi and VPN off. I need to do a logo reset to get it working again - for about 24 to 48 hours. Then, Carplay will disappear. When I go to connected devices and push the CarPlay logo, it goes into a perpetual loop (see video). The only way to get it back is to disconnect and forget everything, do a logo reset, then reconnect. It will not reconnect unless I do the logo reset. Then it will work again for a day or two.

It sounds like you have been very patient. We haven’t seen many problems like this, so I suspect you might have a hardware problem. I hope service is able to resolve it.
