This is;
- 2023 Air GT with latest SW
- Pro Sound
- Experienced with the Tidal app

I've been experiencing a situation where;

- Song no longer cannot be controlled over the touch screen(s) & physical buttons in the handle
- display has the song "stopped" with a square/stop logo on the song picture's center; still plays
- I still can search other songs, albums, artist (just not rewind, play/pause, forward)
- while the (no-longer-controllable) song plays, I actually can play another song.

The only solution to rectify this is to reset the SW through the Air Logo.

Technically, when the uncontrollable song finishes, I can continue to select new songs and go back to it as if nothing ever happened. except;
- The new songs have this "clipped" sound, almost like a bit of static noise or lagging due to maxed-out CPU-ish kinda symptom.
- It goes away when I reset the SW

Has anyone run into a similar issue? Or is there a forum thread on this behavior?

My son did this yesterday morning. I think he had Alexa playing something while the fm radio also was playing. Wonder if it’s something with 2.1.64.

Happens to me when i am on my iPhone. I am having a chat and after 2-3 minutes the music begins playing concurrently with my conversation, quite annoying. I have brought this to the attn of Lucid on multiple occasions, zero remedies….so far. This has been happening for 1 year +.

I'll get the phone call plus music on occasion. I don't do many phone calls, so it is memorable the few times I've had to scramble to try unsuccessfully stop the music.

In the two days I've had my 2024 Pure (with SSP), I've had this issue twice. First time, I was using Spotify and the radio played uncontrollably on top of it; I did a logo reset, which solved the problem temporarily. Yesterday, I had exactly the same problem with the radio playing on top of Tidal; my wife was with me and we were too impatient to do a reset, so I turned the volume to zero.

Are others having this problem?

What version are you on?

Part of me thinks that this overlapping issue occurs when I use Alexa command to play music. After song or auto-generated playlist starts to play, and at the end of the list, I no longer can control.
At least that was my experience between Alexa + tidal + and sometimes Amazon music.

I have not used any Alexa commands after my last occurrence+ air reset... So far I've not encountered the symptom.

I've had a few occurrences of it, where SeriousXM (which I never setup, so I don't even know how why it decided to play some music) will play music over Spotify or Carplay when it gets stuck. I'm still on 2.2.2, so hopefully 2.2.10 will improve on it.

I had exactly this experience and it continued after I got 2.2.10. I signed up for Sirius only so that I could control it. After I did, I stopped the music in the Sirius app and haven't been troubled by it since [knocking wood]!

Gonna try that :) Thanks for the tip!

After doing a Air logo reset, I went to the SiriousXM panel, and started the free offer, so now I can control siriousXM. So far issue has not reappeared, and I just updated to 2.2.10 so we'll see if it continues that way :)

I had the same issue. Had to accept the SiriusXM trial in order to control the un-controllable music coming from it, which would continue even when playing other sources. A dirty trick to get me to sign up for Sirius apparently ;)

There was an older bug with Apple music where it would start to auto play no matter what you selected - probably not related but might be worth a check. I don’t mean the Apple Music service, I mean any songs you have on your phone.

I am facing the same issues, along with music constantly pausing and the quality of the audio being absolutely garbage ever since I updated to 2.2.10.

FWIW, my wife's car without SSP (also on 2.2.10) does not have this issue, but mine with SSP does. Me and other members here have opened service issues for this so its definitely a known issue and hopefully will be resolved soon.

Hang on, the dual audio but I’ve had happen once or twice, but “constantly pausing” I haven’t, and I have noticed zero change in the “quality of the audio.”

Can you be more specific?

Okay - I thought I was going nuts - I don't have two songs playing, I have the same song playing but the left speaker is slightly ahead of the right, so there is a horrible echo on anythig I play or when I talk on the phone. Come on Lucid - My wife has started calling it a Beta Car. For what these things cost, you think they could get something as basic as the sound system to not regress. Frustrated!

oops forgot to respond earlier. Yeah, I predominantly use the Spotify app in the car but have noticed with the radio as well, when I first turn the car on, the music constantly pauses and plays on its own and then it starts working properly after a few minutes. On top of that, occasionally, the audio quality is horrendous...sounds like a lot of static coming through with the audio
