Well if you live in California you get 8 years 150k. Probably why Tesla started that way and just kept it the same. The 100k is the federal regulation.

Good to know but are you saying Lucid warranty is also 150k if I live in CA?

Actually, the current regulations only apply to PZEVs aka hybrids. There is a Kelley blue book article that is wrong, but the law states it’s only for PZEVs.

There is a draft law to apply to ZEVs (or battery EVs), but it isn’t passed yet, to my knowledge.
