Hello Lucid community. I have been very interested in the Pure for a long time, but the price hike and free 3-year EA expiring soon speed up my decision time frame. If I pull the trigger I would be balancing 2 new EVs, possibly 3 with no detail on exactly when I'd get them....makes life interesting. Could you answer some questions I could not find and have not heard from Lucid.
  1. Can you lease the Pure? If so price range?
  2. Does anyone know how much the options cost on the configurator: paint, glass roof, any additional interior color choices besides black/charcoal?
  3. Does the Pure qualify for the $7,500 tax credit?
  4. Does anyone know what the Georgia EV tax credit is? Seems vague, will research more
  5. Any plans for a center in Atlanta? I am concerned about maintenance. Lucid said they have travel vans, but what if it's a major accident then what?
  6. I am guessing the rear legroom to the floor is more normal than what I have seen on the DE with knees to chest for the extra batteries in the DE?

I appreciate the help and education. I have been balancing learning several EVs and I can clearly see you guys are the experts here. I just found you :D

1. Not right now
2. Doesn't appear Lucid has nailed down the pricing yet
3. For now, yes
4. Unsure
5. Possibly, but your closest would be Riviera Beach
6. Yes the Touring and Pure have more leg room in the rear compared to the Dream and GT. I think someone measured before and it was around 3 inches?

According to Zak Edson, the VP of Sales & Service at Lucid, the rear floorboard with the smaller battery pack is 3.15" lower. I've sat in such a car at the West Palm Beach Design Studio and, with that lower floorboard, the back seat really does rival that of a Mercedes S Class or BMW 7 Series. (The back seat of our Dream Edition is very spacious fore to aft, but that lower floorboard really does bump the back seating into a different class.)

Paint upgrade cost is on the configurator, glass canopy is not an option on the Pure, only metal roof. You’ll have to upgrade to the Touring if you wan the glass roof. Right now, Mohave Purelux is the only interior choice. Configurator does show that the vehicle does qualify for the federal tax credit however you need to qualify tax wise in order to take the credit

And it's more, I think, than the 3.15" drop bc your fore-feet also slide under the front seats .. noticeable difference

  • ~406 Miles projected

  • PurLuxe Leather alternative interior, available in Mojave theme only
  • DreamDrive (Autonomous driving) including hardware for level 2 functionality with over-the-air updates

AWD should be 620HP right? If you have a second motor it is creating power and torque. The laws of physics apply to moving machinery in a Lucid.

I agree with you however I did ask the sales associate that exact question and in addition to what I posted above he replied with the following:

"Other than the glass canopy roof option that comes with The Lucid Touring and not with the Pure, the Lucid air Pure does come with a Single Motor, Rear-Wheel Drive with an option to upgrade to Dual Motor, All Wheel Drive. Both the Touring and Pure have a projected range of 406 miles. While the Pure has 480 horsepower, the Touring has 620 horsepower."

Frankly I would expect the Pure to have 620hp in a dual Motor configuration just like the Touring. I'm not sure why a single motor Pure would not get more range than a dual motor Touring unless there are battery pack differences which I think unlikely.

I also wonder if the steel roof would be lighter than the glass roof allowing for a slight range difference as well. I think the specific to these types of questions will be answered once the Touring and Pure orders begin.

Besides the HP difference and deleted options, do you know if there are other things deleted from the Pure Trim such as the massage seats, 360 surround vision..etc?

Definitely no massage or cooled seats on the Pure ... Pure also only has PureLux (aka Vegan) material and only available in Mojave color combination. I saw the materials at the Newport Beach location and the looked/felt great. I also believe that others have stated that blind spot and 360 surround vision are only available if you upgrade to DreamDrive Pro. Ultimately, we won't know all the real differences until it gets closer to the Pure launch. I was considering upgrading to Touring before the price increase, but when I did the math it just didn't make sense (after you factor in some of the mandatory Touring upgrades (glass canopy, DDP and Surreal Sound)

I was able to reserve a Touring w/o being forced to take DDPro...are you saying they'll make me take it when the time comes confirm?

Touring without DDPro won't be available until Q4, I think. They could push it back even further, depending on how things go. So you may have to wait a little longer if you don't want DDPro. But you definitely can get a Touring without it. Eventually.

I think that Lucid is going the Tesla route and prioritizing more highly contented vehicles first. Especially adding software features, which are more highly profitable. I don’t think that dream drive pro hardware is anywhere near $9000. I bit the bullet and added dream drive pro to my touring order. Hopefully it will allow the vehicle to arrive sometime early fall.

Thanks--good to know. With my March 2022 rez I doubt they'd deliver by Q4 anyway
