Anyone delivered a Gravity that DOESN'T require trip to SC?

I'm about a month out from delivery and starting to get nervous about all of these issues people are having. I was early adopter on T Model 3 so I'm aware of the bugs that come with early deliveries and realize many of the bugs are software/OTA fixes. I'm not worried about those.. However, I don't have a service center within 5 hours of Raleigh, NC, which is crazy. (I've told people over and over, many people around NC haven't even heard of Lucid..)

I'm seeing posts where people are having to do multiple SC visits. My SA said mobile service will service me but I'm getting stressed that I'll be delivered a car that immediately needs to go...5 hours away?? Ugh.

Also wondering if I should forego delivery and pick up in Roswell, GA and stay there for a day to drive around and make sure it working. Kinda' crazy to have to do this, though.

I've had my Gravity for 2 months and nothing is preventing me from driving my vehicle.
1) My fob works 99% of the time, otherwise my keycard works.
2) My frunk works perfect.
3) My 2nd row seats do have a slight noise, but only when empty and is mitigated by moving the seat slightly forward like another poster figured out.
4) My windows occasionally go down when up is pressed because the seals need adjustment, but another press up and it closes.
5) I had a tiny little paint scratch, not worth a service visit
6) HUD reflection - waiting on a revision. Just adjusted my seat so reflection is gone for 80% of my drives
7) I have a loose rear cargo hook that just needs to be tightened
8) 3rd row seats aren't flush while stored, but I have them up 99% of the time I've had my car
9) Driver door handle squeaks, but is still operable 100% of the time

So, none of this is a pressing issue to me. Your personal level of tolerance may vary.

I’ve got 4,800 miles on mine, owned it for 2 months and it hasn’t been to a SC yet. I do have a list of little things that need to be addressed but was always intending to drive it for 3 or 4 months and then book it in the get them all addressed at once.

The Lucid team did come to my house a few days after taking delivery to address the Homelink issue. As @hydbob just listed out, my issues are similar and they’re certainly not pressing issues to get it to a SC asap.

Considering Lucid's apparent willingness to come get your vehicle, and leave you with a loaner, the distance to the service center doesn't seem that big of a deal for you. That a Lucid employee has to drive 5 hours is inconvenient for them, but for you it just means that you have the loaner for a little longer. To me, the distance shouldn't sway your purchase decision. Rather, just whether or not you're willing to be an early adopter.

I don't know what their official policy is, so I'd ask. But other owners here have told of problems mobile service cannot handle, and having Lucid come fetch their vehicle and drop off a loaner.

There are certain things that can be done mobile; various trim issues, setting up Homelink, latch adjustment, etc.

Some things require service at the SC; battery issues, etc. For those scenarios, they will tow your car to the nearest SC. If a loaner is available, they’ll provide one. If one isn’t, they’ll provide a rental.

Note that this is true for service issues that prevent the car from being driven. If you want a roof rack installed and for some reason mobile couldn’t do it (they can, but you get the idea), that would be on you to get to the SC.

If it helps any, I live in central Virgina which is approximately three hours from Raleigh.
There is a service center across town from me in Mechanicsville, VA.

It's not a dedicated Lucid service center; Lucid is one of the brands they are certified to service.
Prior to the opening of the KOP and Tysons Corners service centers, this shop handled the servicing of the Air.

I had my first mobile service visit last week for the "key card not allowing car to go into drive" issue.

I had my GGT delivered to my house.
Delivery driver says he delivers to VA and NC.

Visit went well.
Waiting on follow up from the mobile visit.

Wish we didn't have to pray to the automotive gods that we "get a good one," but I will. Ha.

We had a bunch of minor trim issues (a missing seal, a couple spots that weren’t properly clipped in, etc.) but otherwise the car has been flawless. It’s in service now but our only annoyance is the second row squeak.

Nothing at all that keeps it from being driven.

Be honest with yourself.
Know your needs and expectations.

You've got early adopter experience.
Maybe call Mechanicsville service center and ask to speak to the manager (Russell). Ask your questions. With them not being a dedicated service center, I'd verify the loaner availability and other details. I don't need a loaner. You never know, loaner could come from Roswell.

Few folks (like less than 3?) here have had to bring their car to an SC because it was completely inoperable. There are items that only an SC can handle, but most of what we’re really seeing here are bugs - super annoying and, in some cases, hardware issues, but if you’re patient and have the early adopter mindset, you’ll be fine.

Also, driving it for a day won’t inoculate you. My fob issue, for example, took 9-10 days to happen. Same with a couple of other issues I’ve had.

I'm just over 2k miles in a month and nothing serious. A few little trim things but mostly software and nothing that makes is inoperable or makes me not love it. We are traveling in October so I told them I would drop it with my list and they could do what they could in a week and then I'll take it back.

Good to hear all, All. I'm not afraid of dealing with some issues. I guess I've just seen a handful of people needing appointments immediately after receiving their car on day 1 (FB groups). I'm mostly just worried about it being inoperable or having it at the SC for weeks, not smaller issues. So I appreciate the comments.

Slowly backing away from the ledge...;-)
