I, for one, am happy to see non-boxy, wannabe truck SUV designs. It’s just not Lucid’s design language. And as others have stated, it would come at a major cost to efficiency and range. Just look at the R2.
Then again, I’m also the weirdo who is happy to see Gravity look more like a minivan than a truck.
Cars are supposed to be sleek and sexy. The whole trend towards hyper masculine tough guy mobiles is super played out at this point. Lucids look ahead of their time as a result.
BMW is already moving away from this trend. Porsche never went there, which is why their cars look timeless.
