Android Auto Thursday

Or just get an iPhone…. XD lol.
We've actually invested quite a bit in trying to switch to iPhones and the accompanying stuff for most of a year, twice now, and it just hasn't worked out for us.

Sorry to hear that. Sounds like you just haven’t bought enough of the ecosystem.

Only thing to do is buy more!

XD (owns Apple stock…)

Also SiriusXM has connectivity issues when Wi-Fi is on when leaving from home
Also happens with Spotify & TuneIn. The car really seems to struggle when switching from Wifi to cellular. I have to drive for a few minutes before Spotify or TuneIn start working after being on Wi-Fi.

I'm going to keep Wi-Fi off until I start seeing people reporting the update is actually rolling out. When the first reports come in, I'll bite the bullet and keep Wi-Fi on until I get the update. I have a feeling this update will be on the larger side so anything to assist in actually downloading the OTA since cellular service can be spotty.

Guys - Is this article legit?

Everything from that site is suspect. Watch for posts on this forum.

Awesome! I'm hoping the image is not 100% accurate and apps like maps fills the whole screen. The dead space on the side looks pretty large.

I hope that we can see the update start rolling out to more people this week.

Nope, it's probably accurate but would be great to see people's experience.

For me AA release is an indication that Lucid delivers on its promises. Some may say it's long and way overdue but with patience we can see actual improvements and new features being eventually rolled out. In my eyes Lucid is still considered start up that learns from it's own mistakes. Writing good quality software with many features and fast requires an army of software engineers plus QA resources. That is definitely not cheap and they need to prioritize based on what they have available. Congrats to Lucid and all owners for a big milestone accomplished.

That image is accurate. It’s precisely the same as the viewport on CarPlay, at least partially because of Apple’s requirements for CarPlay, and I imagine Google’s for AA.

It’s not that bad, but yes, there is some wasted space in both.

Nothing Lucid can do about that.
