Android Auto Thursday

Lucid should be able to auto close those tickets that requests for software update with a pre canned response. I know my old company’s customer service team did this when there was an outage. They can set it up once and let the automation take care of the rest.

"Rollout will begin next Tuesday and will proceed for the following week in small batches"...it's a quote from reliable source... I'm stoked 😁

This is directly from Lucid…..

This is ridiculous, no news from the folks at Animal Control. You would think they had no clue what was going on

I'm sure the Mods will be sad to see it go tho!
and be replaced with an - we waited 5 years for this?!?!? AA thread

Back to the topic at hand, the interesting thing we got yesterday was an email saying to connect your car to your home wireless to get updates faster. I would wager this is a rather large update and being on a solid WiFi connection will help in the background download. This message is great except for the fact that a lot of us turned off WiFi to improve mobile key and app usage. Decisions!!?!?!? To Wifi or Not to Wifi?

I found that turning off my wi-fi completely solved my Sirius radio problem. (I had discovered that the transition from wifi in the gagage to very weak At&T signal outside, frequently killed sirius.) I'll now wait for the 2.7 notification and temporarily turn on wifi ovenight. No problem.

Guess that's the smarter approach than turning on the Wifi in the hopes that my car get prioritized since it's faster download 😂

Does the notification indicate the download is being pushed or that it has been received? I think the later- turning on wifi at that point should not have any benefit.

You get a notification once the download has completed. Not before.

Is there a crash course or website called Android Auto for Dummies? I have a Samsung S24. Other than using it as a phone, taking pictures and surfing the internet, that's the limit of my abilities. Old dog (75) needs to learn new tricks. Suggestions on how AA improves your experience, especially driving, would be greatly appreciated.

So what you're saying is - I should turn on my Wifi and sacrifice the no-Wifi workarounds to get assume I have a lottery ticket for earlier access:p. Done and done!

I am much older than you, with a Samsung S24 FE. I'll post what I discover.
