Air Version 2.9.0

I’ve spoken to Lucid customer service about the WiFi issue. They’re not saying it outright but it appears that Lucid is restricting access to the update unless you’re connected To a WiFi network. Not letting you use LTE. If that’s what they’re doing now they should just be upfront about it. I live in the city and park in a garage several blocks away so I can’t use my home WiFi. This has never been an issue before, just use LTE. I hope that they communicate more clearly if they are forcing us to use a WiFi connection now for updates.
Vehicles connected to WiFi are getting prioritized.
Mine just said unable to download, now it says I have 2.8.30 and is up to date 🤔
It will start installing in 15 minutes. As someone shared earlier, the vehicle needs a few minutes to process the download before installation.

Yup, I got the same message when 2.9.0 failed to load.

I started trying to download 2.9.0 yesterday afternoon. It connected and started downloading, but it kept failing after a while. My car was in my garage. My garage has WiFi, but it is old and slow. This morning, I finally got my car to download 2.9.0 after I rigged a fast WiFi router in the proximity of my garage. It still took almost 2 hours to download.

24 hours later and it still looks like this. Always an adventure Lucid, thanks.

First drive after 2.9.0; SiriusXM seems to be working better and an issue I had with the ACC shutting off with an error seems to have been fixed but obviously I need more time with the update.

So far so good. :)

I got it last night. So far really liking the small UX update to the left panel buttons as well as the meaningful map/nav updates. And I can send map destinations from my phone to the car again! Yay
What updates to the left panel buttons? I have the update too but didn't realize those buttons have also changed. Please educate!

Amperage/current limiter working well for me! I haven’t had time yet to set up good home assistant programs for my home/solar/EV charger but being able to manipulate the amperage helps when the native software isn’t efficient enough.
Where do you see the amperage limiter? I don't see it.

When something was selected there was a box around the entire button. Now the icons have no boxes around them and just change color

Ironically my update disabled in car WiFi. Had to do the lock the car and walk away reset before it could connect to WiFi again. Resigned into tidal and off we go

Yes, I was locked out of my Air GT for 2 hours before 2.9.0 was downloaded and installed.

My Air has always been on home WiFi , but this did not seem to prioritize me! :(

I am hoping this shows up for me, but I doubt it will. My AT has NEVER shown an update available since I bought it in December. Houston service center did an update to 2.8.12 back in January. Since then it states 'your software is up to date'.

Was at the service center last week and was told I had an update available and they would have service make it available by the next day. They texted me saying if it did not show up to reply to the text and they would go to 'PlanB'. I replied the next day, but no response. That was May 1st. Still nothing.
Well a couple of hours after my post above, it downloaded 2.8.30 and I installed it.

Then about 90 minutes later parked in my garage (with WIFI on), it said that 2.9.0 was ready to install. Said it would take 1 hour 10 minutes. Took a little longer than that but it was fine. Drove tonight and all seems OK. Did lose my XM favs, but they said that would happen.

So now maybe I will get auto updates.

I applied the update this afternoon, install seemed to go well. I happened to be out of town overnight when I got notification of the update. The car and the app both said WiFi is required to download the update. Makes sense; Lucid must be feeling our data consumption.

My Sirius app isn't able to load any channel or favorite lists, but it did play. Also noticed a delay when shifting into gear, really hope that's not a regression - that was a very irritating bug. Otherwise all smooth for me so far. I'll let the car sleep for a day or so before becoming concerned.

Did anyone notice that the font is different now— but only on the right side of the speedometer? Everything else is still helvetica. Weird change

Also, is it just me or before the update, did the left side give you an estimated miles left before the battery was empty?
