Air Version 2.8.30

This looks like another update limited to certain vehicles, possibly only those equipped with DDPro. We are left to guess and speculate as the release notes lack any useful information. My 2026 AT with DDPremium is still on .16 and indicates it is up to date. Would be nice to know if OTA updates are working properly for our vehicles or if there is a potential issue that requires a trip to the service center.

I agree. My 2026 AT with DDPremium is still on 2.8.12 and states it is up to date. So why are you on .16 and I am on .12? I was told by my SC back in January that .12 was the latest version for vehicles with AD01.

I have base DD (no 360 camera, ie a lower tier than DD Premium) and I received the 2.8.30 update earlier this week. If the comments elsewhere on the forum around a “unifying update” are to be believed, every Air should eventually receive the 2.8.30 update.

I have the same as you. Still on 2.8.16, but have no reason to think I won’t see .30 eventually

What was your previous software version and DD package? There seems to be some discrepancy between if this is going out to all vehicles or only certain ones based on those two criteria.

Or does this have anything to do with those who got the CCV2 upgrade? 🤔
 
my '25 AGT has DDP and I am on .16. I didn't get .17, not .30 (yet). My car is working so well, I don't think I'm going to update to .30.
 
Got the update last night as I've said. I have a 2023 AGT. Did the CCV2 upgrade last week. I have DDPro.
I was on .17.

Please update to .30 if you receive it. You will not be able to receive future updates unless you do.

Considering .17 came out December 8 and I haven’t received the update after 3+ months, I feel like that is being patient. Turns out it was limited to certain vehicles, but release notes never mention that, and the same pattern might be playing out again with .30 - vague release notes that changed “improved robustness” to the much more informative, “improved overall system stability”, and rollout is here and there.
 
I have 2023 Pure AWD with DD Prem, still on 2.8.16. No update yet.
 
My 2023 AT has DDPro and CCCV2. The previous firmware/software was 2.8.17. Just got the update to .30
 
Upgraded to 2.8.30 last night. On my morning drive DDPro would not go into Hands-Free Drive Assist. Stayed in Drive Assist the whole time. If it happens on the way home tonight, I'll do a logo reset. Just curious if anyone else having this behavior. I have a 22 Air GT with CCV2 upgrade. Thanks!

That won't help. Here's why:

There is often confusion regarding the different reset procedures for the Air. Here is a breakdown of the three primary methods and their specific impact on the vehicle.

Logo Reset: Navigate to the Settings screen on the Pilot Panel and press and hold the Air logo at the top. This reboots the infotainment software only.
Soft/Hard Reset: Simultaneously hold the X button on the left side of the steering wheel, the microphone button on the right, and the brake pedal. You must continue to hold all three until all screens go completely blank. This process typically takes longer than expected. Like the Logo Reset, this primarily affects the infotainment system. Some feel this may erase service logs.
Sleep Reset: Lock the car and move all fobs and mobile keys far enough away to prevent the car from waking. A minimum of 20 minutes is typically required for the vehicle modules to fully power down, though leaving it overnight seems best.

So, for your issues with DreamDrive or non-infotainment items, the first two methods are generally ineffective as they do not power down the driving-related computer modules. In those cases, allowing the car to sleep overnight is the recommended first step.
