Lucid Air Grand Touring
Does anyone know any links to where I can find the differences with the car between a Grand Touring and Grand Touring Performance.
It would be nice to see some comparison videos of the two models.

GT-P is not produced anymore. You can use the search function to find many threads discussing the differences.

Press always reports maximum hp even though hp and torque in Smooth and Swift are much more meaningful.
Most owners don' t drag race from stop to stop.

It's been reported that the ('22)GT makes ~620 hp in Smooth and Swift, and ~800 hp in Sprint. It has 112 kW battery
The Grand Turing Performance is a limited production that makes ~720 hp in Swift and 1050 in Sprint. It has 118 kW battery
The Dream Edition Performance is a limited production that makes ~750 in Swift and 1111 in Sprint. It has 118 kW battery.
Look for the 7th letter in the VIN....
"B" means Lucid Air Grand Touring
"D" means Lucid Air Grand Touring Performance
"A" means Lucid Air Dream Edition Performance
"C" means Lucid Air Dream Edition Range

These are the codes from before the touring / pure models

Thank you so much.

The C is a rare unicorn

this decoder lists the MAXIMUM hp / kW power in SPRINT mode.
Unless you select SPRINT mode you are not getting the advertised power.
The power in Smooth and Swift modes is likely the same (can't verify) It is nowhere near the power in Sprint mode.

You can not have 1111 hp AND 450 mi of range.

You can have 1111 hp and 100 miles of range....

I'd like to ask someone what his lifetime efficiency is .... bet it starts with a "0."

Or as in the Dream Edition Range, max power is limited to ~930 hp in Sprint mode, but will get 520 mi of range IN SMOOTH MODE when driven like Peter Rawlinson.

Who cares what the range is with the DE-P and GT-P?

The power delivered in SMOOTH or SWIFT mode is reduced. The torque is thought to be increased through the three modes, but the power is the same in Smooth and Swift. When you see the Lucid Air advertised / reviewed they list the maximum power available in Sprint mode with a brand new battery and high SOC. Nobody expects the Spanish Inquisition. The reviewers/press are rife with inaccuracy and misinformation...evident by their contradiction.

You have to drive the cars and Grok them. It is often said that the Lucid cars are exceptional in the passing acceleration range = where it counts.

Anyway a 0 - 60 of 3 seconds for both the Touring and GT trim is wicked quick.

The muscle cars of my HS days were considered wicked quick if they could break 6 seconds. My '65 HP289 Mustang 4-spd. couldn't get close.
Golden age of Muscle Cars

and the GT-P and DE seem to have the same max performance at 2.6 sec. (ok so not much difference between 1050 and 1111 hp)

The Sapphire is on it's own. It is thought that the advertised max power in the Sapphire is "sandbagged". Each of the three motors is capable of over 600 hp. You do the math. Must be software ... the limiting factor is the amount of current the battery can deliver without self-immolation:

I can guarantee this is true, but it is also nowhere near 1800hp. It is higher than 1234hp though.

(But the DE-P is also higher than 1111HP. Lucid likes cute numbers)

The big difference between the Sapphire and the DE-P though, having been in both, is the handling. The acceleration is, honestly, not that different. But the fact that in the Sapphire you can basically keep the pedal floored while doing a U-turn? That’s what’s mind blowing.

I like cute numbers too, I just wish marketing would get on the ball. I’ve sold three of these things just by throwing the keys at people.

A lot of it has to do with poor marketing guidance to reviewers. Or non-purposefully misleading numbers. I constantly have no idea what the actual horsepower etc., of different models are and have to go to the forums for the information.

Admittedly, most people don’t care once they take delivery. But it would be nice to have the compendium of all lucid knowledge on Lucid’s website stating what all the models can do.

Also would help with used vehicles; and I know that’s a hot button issue, but someone buying a used helps us sell more cars and keeps values up. Supply and demand.

I’m thinking with how many people are showing just how good a deal you can get on an aftermarket touring/grand touring that the supply will dwindle quickly (simple due to the total manufactured units plus attrition) and the price will stabilize or go up.

Which would be great for Lucid. And owners Lucid owners as many would be more willing to buy new cars if they knew what type of haircut they stand to take.

You can do this for models that are still being sold; just not for old models.
