Creating a thread for those who are interested in putting aftermarket wheels on their Gravity. I run aftermarket wheels on all my cars.

Here’s some insight.

Currently having 3-pieces forged wheels being made by a local wheel company I’ve worked with before, located and manufactured in Anaheim, CA. FEA testing done to insure the wheels are rated for the Gravity’s transmission ratio and torque.

OEM 22/23” wheels sit flush to the fender when you put 20MM spacers. This gave us a better idea of how much offset we need for the custom wheels.

Specs for OEM 22/23”s are:
Front: 22x9.5 ET44
Rear: 23x10 ET51

A concern we ran into when measuring offset was that the fenders protrude a decent amount, which makes the gap between the tires and fender very tight when you turn the wheels.

We decided to run +15MM offset on the customs instead of +20MM just in case I rub. I’ll run a 5MM spacer if 20MM doesn’t rub.

Running same 22x9.5 and 23x10 and reusing OEM PZero tires. Projected mid-December for completion. Will post more pictures as production progresses.

Correction: By protruding fenders, I meant the inner fender liner.

Something tells me you might get your answer sooner…I am mounting 30 offset wheels this weekend on 22x10x4 which is 20/21mm of added offset.

Did you happen to weigh stock wheels?

I'm interested. What your expected price point? Are you able to make any color modifications? Feel free to DM me at any time

Sorry, every time I have the wheels off I don’t seem to have a scale nearby. I’ll weigh them next time I get a chance!

Be careful, check and make sure to turn your wheels first to see if you hit the wheel liner before you drive off.

Definitely will be doing some testing in the low and can’t hurt to go lowest this way I don’t need to drive off.

As far as my setup, in case you wanted some data it’s a 22x10 30 offset wheel with a 2200lb capacity and weighing in around 32lb.

Tires will be Michelin All Season 4 in 265/40 and 285/40, maintaining stock diameter and providing a wider road patch contact vs stock big wheel option of 9.7” front and around 10.5” rear.

Square or staggered?

I would be interested!
Prices varies heavily depending on the design. Forging material is dependent on concavity which changes the price. Finishes also changes the price (mine is satin finish with chrome lip). Wheel size also affects the price with larger being more expensive.

I reached out to the owner to get a better idea of starting price for minimal concavity vs more like mine.

Unfortunately, 3-pieces are the most expensive setup you can get. My set is $6K+.

I have a AB Stealth GGT with 22/23 Stealth wheels on order. I'm a fan (but not a great fan) of the look. I'm interested if anyone wants to sell their 22/23 Platinum rims or wheel/rim set. If so, please DM me.

You’re going to be flush in the rear. I’m not sure what the OEM specs on 21” front wheels are so I can’t calculate. Do you know?

You may poke out half an inch in the front. Every .5” wider in width adds 6.35mm + however many mm offset you go.

All the wheels are aligned so knowing where one set is you know where the others will end up.

So 44-30+6 is the 20mm discussed

From WKForged for 22/23”.

Flat inner spokes with step lips and standard finishes (1 stage powder coat with polished aluminum) - starts at $4,500.

Mid concavity spokes with step lips and standard finishes - starts at $5,000.

High concavity and step lip overlip (mine) with standard finishes - starts at $6,000.

You can reach out to @WKForged on instagram to get better pricing. Wheels have been FEA tested to ensure they’re safe and rated for the gravity’s weight, torque, and transmission ratio. He also measured my brakes specs so he can custom make your wheel design to clear your brakes. Wheels are made in the US.

Post pics and let us know about clearance when you get them installed! I won’t get mine installed until EOY.

Yea…can’t wait to share how it either worked amazingly well or how I have a set of wheels for sale…going first is always rough

Is this a 'per-wheel' or a 'per-set' cost? A set to me is two wheels. Any other way to get in touch as I'm not on Instagram. Thanks!

It’s not a Ferrari, don’t think we need to go to 10-20k wheels, do we?

For the front wheel tire combo, you might be able to get away with more offset (i.e. pushing the rim outward) by going with a narrower tire and giving the front suspension a lot of negative camber like the guys who "slam" their cars do (mainly joking):

By the way, I think those wheels you are having built will look fantastic on the Gravity, looking forward to seeing them mounted.

Already doing that to a lesser extreme by going 10” front vs 9.5” large wheel option
