No, my car was just plug and play. Drove up to the EA station and plugged in. Charging started right away. One time I had to open the app and choose the stall I was in and then it started.
Lucid sets it up when you pick up your car. If the plug and charge doesn't work, you need to initiate the charge through the Lucid app, not the EA app.
