2.8.0 Software Update

Had over 250 miles left on the battery when I parked and downloaded the software update. Now my mobile app is saying I have zero battery charge and car is offline.
Have you gone to the car and woken it up manually?

It may be as much as 2 hours and 2 minutes according to @sansonoma , not just two hours. Lucid is definitely hiding something about those extra two minutes, and they aren't saying what. It's very suspicious that these extra two minutes are happening just before the earning call and no one knows why. It makes me so angry that this is happening AGAIN.
Frustrating that it's not a consistent OTA experience. I will never buy another lucid product again and they will here from my attorneys!

Same thing happened to me. Woke up the car with the app, stated offline for a bit then came back to normal. Will test handsfree tomorrow, have an appointment in LA 55 miles away.

My list is the same as yours
I just updated my software to 2.8 and have DDP. It took two hours and I did the Air logo soft reset when it finished. Tested the frunk lid opening/closing and it may be my imagination but it seemed noticeably smoother than before the update, but the update notes I received with the update made no mention of this feature which was included in the announcement. My wife is taking Lucy out with the kids so I won’t be able to test the ADAS system until later tonight.

Installed 2.8.0 on my '22 AGT this morning. Took 2 hours as described in the notes.

This is an excellent update. I drove down from the NC mountains in absolute pouring rain and the handsfree was excellent. the prior tendency to take a left exit in left lane or right exit in right lane is fully corrected. it warned me to take over in construction zones, gave me ample warning when i was leaving a mapped zone, warned me when i was not looking (actually had blocked the camera while showing my dad where the camera was), and was very confident.

@teamLucid you guys have done an amazing job with this one. Very impressed.

In the last 30 days this '22 vehicle has gotten a new computer, and a huge upgrade to DD Pro. It's a great car.

Whelp, apparently I am one of the unlucky few, the 2.8 update has bricked my car. It keeps showing an incorrect "frunk open" fault and zero mile range/low battery warning when the battery is at 80%. Talked to customer care, did hard and soft reset, they sent a tech out, tech did some testing which did not resolve the issue, and is now arranging for a tow to the service center and a loaner.

So I've been at work since about 9am this morning and shortly there after my app has been showing "vehicle offline". Rebooting the app doesn't same to do anything. I haven't been down to the garage to check the car but it's almost as if it's doing the update without notifying me (i of course have push notifications enabled). Hopefully I can actually access the car when it's time to leave the office today because I only use (and have with me) my mobile key.

Anyone who did the update so far have any vehicle newer than a 2022 model year?
I have a 2024 and just did the update this morning, hopefully it will allow me to AC charge again once I figure out what settings to use...

Got the notification to install while I was flying home last night, 🤞it was going to work or I would have Uber'd it home! When available, the ADAS improvements are terrific, as others mentioned, early notification between areas without hands-free assist are consistent, and as for safety, it won't tolerate you looking anyway from the road for even a few seconds. Install went smoothly for this '23 AT, just over two hours over mobile network.

I noticed the same exact behavior from today's morning with "vehicle offline" status in the app. Luckily, I didn't take Luciana to work today as garage was blocked in the morning.

Go out and try to press on the frunk deck lid right above where the L and D are in LUCID. Give that a good simultaneous shove and see if the sensor triggers and thinks the frunk is closed now? Ideally do this after you open and close it once.

If it remains the case, you may need your frunk latches replaced, but a good shove may fix it.

If it were updating, you’d see a progress bar, not “vehicle offline.” My suspicion is your garage has bad AT&T service.

Do we need ATT for this OTA? I live in a cellular desert--with AT&T being particularly bad.
