this is not a good analogy. Still a new guy, but if you say you're releasing software on the 30th, then don't, you failed the first basic customer service test. Which we would (mostly) all forgive if you updated everyone about a delay.
saying nothing is bad form and doesn't inspire confidence. remember, THEY picked the release day, THEY made the annoucement, we didn't. If there were issues or whatnot they should have made sure they were wired tight before they said anything. unless they were trying to pimp their earnings call and played us like fiddles. while I hope that's not the case it sure SEEMS like the case.
I like the car fine, but I'm not simping for them and creating scenarios for the company to explain their failure to deliver what they promised when they promised it.
