Car asking for PIN when key fob is in the car

It only happens for my wife and me when the car is in Park and a door is opened. While this is not a major issue, it's irritating. Add to a list of irritating things that come and go. these issues keep us from relaxing into an amazing car. It's worse for my wife -- she won't even consider taking...

Car asking for PIN when key fob is in the car

Today my wife got stuck with the car asking for a pin with 5-8 cars honking. Very annoying! Impressive that your early adopters got through if this is the vastly improved software. Thanks to everyone for the input.

Car asking for PIN when key fob is in the car

I was not there, but my wife has her mobile phone set up for the key. I assume the software is smart enough not to get confused. The pin request only happens when she stops, puts the car in park, and gets out of the car (Takes the seat belt off, too). But she is never more than a foot from the...

Car asking for PIN when key fob is in the car

My wife said the fob was not in the cup holder but in the console, just behind where the phone holders are. Does that matter?

Car asking for PIN when key fob is in the car

Hi All: Is there a situation where the car will ask for a pin when the key fob (that works) is in the car? The problem is when my wife goes into her parking garage, she often has to put the car in park, undo her seatbelt, and step out of the car to use her card and trigger the garage opener. In...

    Q4 Results/Call

Just wondering: Was Lucid's first full year for the AIR 2022 or 2023? It's a crappy climate for EVs. However, I'd think with the 67k pricing, they'd sell more like 10k to 20k cars. (Tesla went from 3k to like 22k, but the market was theirs alone). As a (semi) retired CEO, I can't imagine...

Lucid engineering taking a really long time to investigate my car

Been answered -- they are just checking -- it freaked my wife out, so they wanted to drive it a bit with lane departure off to make sure. They have done that and agree that lane departure is the most likely culprit. Christopher has been good to work with. FYI, my current car does not pull...

Lucid engineering taking a really long time to investigate my car

All good points. Probably was a mistake not to get the loaner -- but we live right in San Francisco. Having a three cars and one with no parking stickers is a huge hassle for us as we have limited parking space, along with a teenager learning to drive :). I'm optimistic that Lucid will return...

Lucid engineering taking a really long time to investigate my car

Ok to change the title, but it is engineering and not service that is the long poll. Engineering is doing the investigation and creating the fix for service to implement. It’s like having a level 1 software bug. Your down and the product team, not support has control. And there is usually an...

Lucid engineering taking a really long time to investigate my car

I'm a little worried. The car went into the Millbrae service center last Thursday. Friday, the car was online and updated; I thought Christopher called and said Lucid wanted the car over the weekend to check the pulling to the right; the system down the problem. All good by me. Monday and...

    Good news on my GT

Hi! Christopher from Lucid Service Center in Milbrae called yesterday -- The wifi/LTE is back up, the car software is up to date and I can connect to the car from home! They will review other issues on Monday, especially the "Service Down" error. Christopher expects I will get my GT back on...

    My Lucid Oof’d it today

Wow— makes my experience seem tame. Good luck, and don’t let your wife drive your lucid when you get it back. I let my wife take it and that’s pretty much the last I’ve seen of it :)

    Christopher Robinson at Milbrae Center

Agree, Christopher and i worked together to compile the issues for work orders — there were 12 orders. Plus Lucid engineering is involved with the system down error. Bummer that there are problems, but impressed with the all hands on deck approach. Plus it’s pretty cool that several different...

    Christopher Robinson at Milbrae Center

Oh, no worries about Chris -- I reached out, and he is updating -- I appreciate that. That's why he sent it to me for review first! I also don't think he was untruthful, I'm just worried about not having the car for 4-8 weeks. Maybe that will give me time to get my wife a different car she loves :)

    Christopher Robinson at Milbrae Center

Chris butchered the work order, but when i texted him, he was more than happy to take more info and revise. As long as we can work together, Chris gets 5 stars by my book! FYI, I have his email now. Potential problem: The one worrisome thing he said is if it is the communication module...

    Christopher Robinson at Milbrae Center

Good, i just met with him, but when i got the service order, it was not at all accurate. Probably trying to do too many things. Texting with him now so i can send me my write up so he can fix. If anyone has Christopher's email, please send it along, i only have his text

    Christopher Robinson at Milbrae Center

Does anyone know Christopher Robinson at the Milbrae Center? He called today to see if I could get my car to the center, which was very cool.
