2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

Sorry, I only charge to 80% and really don't pay attention to range. I just use the car for errands around the city or an occasional 1-2 hour drive to and from a nature hike on a Sunday.

2022 Grand Touring Performance and 19" tires

I have a GT-P and the 21 inch pinwheels live in my basement. As has been mentioned Lucid supports running the 19 inch wheels on the car. They sold me 2 sets, one with winter tires (on the car now) and another set with all seasons that I use during the summer. The roads in Chicagoland aren't...

    Post/share your non-Lucid other car(s)! (ICE-appreciation thread?)

I got an S2000 when they first came out in 1999 and enjoyed it every time I drove it. Let it go in late 2005 when I changed jobs as it was not a great commuter in MA between the traffic and the living next to a chainsaw aspect when revving it out with the top up. The bespoke LC 500 ordering...

Any other Chicago area owners (or owners to be)?

I would guide to contact them I am not sure if they complimentary washes without a service being done I still find it screwy that I have to initiate the service dance by contacting Lucid corporate and then they have someone from Goose Island to contact me to do the scheuling For my winter...

Lucid Air model lineup updates for 2024

I thought they were sold out I went with the GT-P because I wanted my tax breaks before they vaporized At this point, I am happy enough with the GT-P and am standing pat Kudos to the Sapphire owners I also hope they revise the interiors so the Tahoe gets tan seats front and rear and black...

Lucid Air model lineup updates for 2024

There was a previous change in the website where the GT-P vanished and then it came back. The site includes the Sapphire but I thought those were all spoken for. I had my winter wheles/tires put on today using mobile service and the nice tech mentioned that 2 Sapphires had come through Goose Island.

Colder weather folks, what are you doing for wheels/tires?

I have a set of 19s with the Sotto Zero tires. Mobile service came out today to swap them over for the season. This time the tech came in an Air, plenty of room for the jack in the trunk and he had a portable air compressor to get the tires to the target pressure. He rotated them from the...

    Gravity Launch

At some point, around 7 years of ownership, it was in the shop too often for little this and that stuff, motor mounts, hatch struts that would fail repeatedly. I sold it to a nice guy in RI (we were in MA) who had a family member with access to Volvo parts, so a good destination for the car. At...

    Gravity Launch

I couldn't do a minivan, even though their usefulness is undeniable When our kids were young I had a Volvo 850R wagon with the third row seating and roof racks Hoping the Gravity becomes the defacto soccer practice hauler in affluent suburbs across the US

    Gravity Launch

In some ways it is kind of better that the SUV is the second product. Lucid punched above their weight with the Air. There were some real learnings that were brought forward in the Gravity. I am not an SUV person so I can't really opine on it Let's see how the order book goes.

    Gravity Launch

It very well could fail but as I have been saying, I believe Toyota would be the perfect landing spot and they could land Lucid under the Lexus umbrella. Back to the Gravity, glad they did some listening and now the seat colors match row to row and they have a black carpet with saddle leather in...

    EA Charging

The EA closest to my home was a typical many chargers broken, etc. location. They replaced 5 of the 6 chargers and I used one of the new ones for the first time last evening. It was a 350 unit and brought me from 22% to 80% in about 35 minutes. Really a big improvement in their equipment. Only...

Pics of the bottom of my Sapphire.

My what a fun person you are. A Bricklin and a VW van in the same collection too. I kept thinking the Sapphire customer would more of a Euro exotic collector. From these pics, you have a liking for domestic power, and lots of it.

Lightning Lap - Hot lap with Ben Collins

Friendly debate (and hoping for a win for Mr. Shapiro!!) How does somebody putting a sticker on your car without looking at it infer anything about reliability and the amount of maintenance the car will require? I have had my GT-P a bit over a year, and the only real issues were software...
