    Software features

While there have been a few updates that introduced bugs, most often if your car shows weird behavior after an update, it is not the new software, but the update process itself. Doing a logo reset on the car after an update should resolve most of these problems.

How many states has your Lucid been to?

A week after receiving our AGT last fall, we did a three week cross-country road trip, from Boston to Yellowstone. In that trip alone we went through 15 states (MA, CT, NY, NJ, PA, OH, IN, IL, WI, IO, MN, SD, WY, CO, NE). In the year that we've had the car, we're up to 20 states.

    Software update 2.1.20

But I can do handwriting without looking once I get my hand in the right position. To enter using a touch keyboard, I have to look at every key press.

    Post/share your non-Lucid other car(s)! (ICE-appreciation thread?)

My other car. It's not as fast as the Lucid... and it doesn't get driven very much anymore. We only have one garage bay at the house, and the Beetle lost out to the Lucid as that's the only place I can charge. So we rented garage space a couple of miles away for the Beetle. With it not...

    Boston Seaport studio Sep 24

I was there today. Got to touch and sit in a Sapphire. Other than the flared fenders and the spoiler, then changes are subtle, but there are a lot of them. The steering wheel is covered in suede instead of smooth leather. The mirror pods are carbon fiber rather than silver. The seat...

SiriusXM seemed to break internet connectivity... sorta

I finally did some experimenting with two iPhones, and that turns out not to be an acceptible solution. The problem is if you are using Bluetooth to stream music, you can't also connect a phone for hands-free calling or rush hour routing with Waze through CarPlay.

SiriusXM seemed to break internet connectivity... sorta

That's not what he asked. I really, really want to have satellite radio. I spend a lot of time driving where there is no cell service. If the car had an aux input to the stereo system, I would have long since added a third-party satellite receiver. But I don't know a way to make that work.

Really hate it when someone just had to park next to me..

This reminds me of a situation I see regularly. There's a place I go for nature hikes where the trail head leaves from the back corner of the parking lot of a medical facility. I always park in that corner, as do a number of other hikers and dog walkers who show up during the day. And there's...

    Need for home Wi-Fi?

The car does a bad job of switching from WiFi to cell data, so that if you are listening to a streaming music source as you leave home, the music always stops for a while a minute into the drive. Not using home WiFi avoids this problem.

    New England spring meet-up!

I was in Ogunquit earlier this week in our red GT, and passed another Lucid on Rt 1 as we were leaving.

    Mt Washington, New Hampshire

Sure enough, there were no downloaded maps, even though I have done that before (and changed them several times as we have traveled. I don't know when they disappeared, but I have loaded them again.

    Mt Washington, New Hampshire

I tried that, and it gave me an error about downloading maps first. Which I have done in the past, but maybe a firmware update dumped them? I will check again today.

    Mt Washington, New Hampshire

Today my Lucid Air climbed a mountain. I drove up to the summit of Mount Greylock, the highest point in Massachusetts. When I turned off the highway in North Adams, I was at 59% charge. 9.2 miles later, I had climbed 2800 feet burning 7% of my battery. On the way down, I gained 4% back, for...

    clear navigation

They disappear once you click on them. So just click on one, then cancel that navigation and click on the next one, etc. I really wish it didn't work this way. I'd like to have additional favorites that stay there. And there's a bug where if you're already routing someplace and click on one...

SiriusXM seemed to break internet connectivity... sorta

I've been having a similar problem. SiriusXM works fine when on WiFi in my garage, but when on cell data, it never streams. This behavior started with the 2.1.3 update, and continued when I updated to 2.1.10. I have talked to Customer Service, who seemed to think this was a new problem they...

    Wipers, Cameras, Driver Assist Issues

I have had days where the auto-wipers worked well, and days when they just wound't trigger no matter how much water hit the windshield. It's really inconsistent. And when that happens and I have to switch to manual mode, I have to focus on that tiny touch screen to do it, making me an unsafe...

Planning to Buy AGT in Saudi Arabia, Questions?

I would just point out that this is an opinion, and some people think differently. I can't stand riding in a car with tinted windows, and haven't added any tinting to my AGT. We've had a lot of days with the temperature in the mid 90s this summer here in Massachusetts, and the air conditioning...

    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

Thanks to the Lucid app, I can check on the car and see where it is. I'm not too worried.

    Hunting wild Lucid Airs

That might have been me, heading from NYC back to Boston. It was my first time to take Lex into the city. The valet at the garage had no idea what it was. I asked if he knew how to drive a Tesla, and when he said yes, just handed him the key fob. No problems.
