Lucid Air Lost all cameras, none of the soft and hard resets work

Just to followup on my camera problem. The Natick service center found that the front wiring harness had corrosion and had to be replaced. Apparently that was causing the cameras not to work. Interestingly, last year the light behind the Lucid logo on the front bezel quit working and they...

Lucid Air Lost all cameras, none of the soft and hard resets work

I've been having the same problem for a while: the only camera that works is the main backup camera. No amount of resets or letting the car sit overnight restores the cameras. I delayed for several weeks calling customer service because in mid-winter with snow everywhere it wasn't practical to...

    iPhone App 2.13.0

Just to follow up. While rebooting my phone didn't help, uninstalling the app, rebooting, then reinstalling the app resolved the battery consumption problem. Though it no longer works as a key; I need to remember to resync the next time I can spare a few minutes with the car.

    iPhone App 2.13.0

This version has brought back the bug where the Lucid app consumes all of my phone battery. On a fairly new iPhone, it will drain the battery in 4 hours. I have to force quit the Lucid app to have the phone be usable, but now I get notices twice a day from Lucid that I should leave the app open...

CCCv2 upgrade for Lucid Air using points discussion

I won't worry about the points for this. I've kinda been saving my points for the charging station once they get V2H worked out.

CCCv2 upgrade for Lucid Air using points discussion

Of course they just announced this. I'm booked to have my upgrade done on Monday...

    Grand Air rear windshield

While there may be shops that are charging more than they should, it's complicated. To be a Lucid-approved shop, they have to send technicians to Arizona for training and buy a lot of expensive equipment. How many repairs do they amortize that expense across? It would be cheaper if there were...

You're welcome to use my code, which hasn't been used yet this year: 4I1WO1JI

    Service Mode

I have owned other cars that had a service mode through the infotainment system for this sort of thing, typically entered through a secret key sequence. While I had been hoping that Lucid had something like this and that the way to start it would get leaked, I looked over the shoulder of mobile...

    "passenger door open" notification

I had a false door open alert last week, the night after I updated the car to 2.8.9. It hasn't happened again.

    Software Version 2.8.7

It's not that simple. The car doesn't just have one computer, it has dozens cooperating on a network. The update only reboots subsystems that get updated. Asking the car to reboot will reboot all of the ones that form the infotainment system, but not those involved in engine management...

Can't adjust ride height when doors are open (feature request, I guess)

While there are potential problems with lowering the ride height with a door open, there's also an obvious use case: a person with poor mobility trying to get in or out of the car, starts but then struggles. Lowering the car a little at this point could help. Like a public bus that lowers for...

    Home Charging Installation

What's a reasonable price depends on how far the garage is from your main breaker panel, and whether that panel has enough capacity to add another 50 amp (or 80 amp) circuit. When we had our garage wired, we had to upgrade the service to the house from 100amp to 200amp, then run buried conduit...

Satellite Radio/SiriusXM does not work 15-20% of the time

That depends on where you drive. I do hiking and nature photography, and even in California I am frequently in places with no cell service. While I am disappointed that Lucid does not have satellite radio, I am more upset that there is no auxiliary input to the sound system so that I can add...

    ECU Upgrade Question

That's because this upgrade is only the infotainment system, not the ECU (engine control unit) which is a separate computer and apparently more reliable.

Rattling from driver's side wheel area

By carefully listening to the sound at low speed and accelerating, you should be able to figure out if it's something about the wheel or tire (makes a noise once every wheel rotation), or just something on the car loose and rattling. As we have had many very hot days this summer, I have picked...

    Battery modules repair cost

I've watched some third-party Tesla repairs where Tesla claims that an entire battery needs replacing at a cost of $24,000, but the third party garage can replace individual modules for only a couple hundred dollars. As the electric car industry matures, I suspect this will become common. But...

    "Upgrades"

And I absolutely despise subscriptions for things like that. It drives me away from certain brands. It's part of the reason I drive a Lucid instead of a Tesla.

    Tesla supercharging working today?

Tesla destination chargers (privately owned, AC power) and Tesla Superchargers (Tesla owned, high voltage DC power) are very different. It's up to the owner of a destination charger how it is configured, and I have used them (with appropriate charger) for 3 years now. What changed today is...
