Service Mode

there is a service mode , but this blocks all the updates and some car features. This can be turned on only by Lucid Motors (mostly after any type of accident) , and - here is the biggest suprise - to turn it off , they will charge 15,000 $ .
 
I have owned other cars that had a service mode through the infotainment system for this sort of thing, typically entered through a secret key sequence. While I had been hoping that Lucid had something like this and that the way to start it would get leaked, I looked over the shoulder of mobile service when they diagnosed my car, and they plugged a laptop into the ethernet port in the trunk to get this sort of information.
 
Last time I picked up my car from the Seattle Service Center, my car was still in service mode. Instead of taking pictures and playing around with it, I was dumb enough to just tell the service center it was still on and they remotely deactivated it.

I sometimes hate myself when I’m in a hurry 😅

Bit surprising they didn’t notice or is it subtle? Teslas screens turn kinda red when they’re in service mode it’s quite obvious.
 
It was not subtle at all, with Service Mode written in big letters on the glass cockpit :D
