Just had my 2022 grand air transported to Fla and transporter delivered with an unrepairable rear windshield (glass roof ) Called lucid cc and gave me names of 2 Lucid approved body shops. Sent photos and body shop said it could amount to 8,000 to $10,000.
Needless to say I was floored. Transport company wanted to pay bill but they weren't anticipating 8-10k.
Anyone with similar damage and recommendation for better and more reasonable way to get replaced?????

Just dropped mine off at the service center for its annual and they quoted me $2,500 to replace it. With a little bit over half of it being labor costs
 
Just got two estimates between seven and $8000. Where are you located and would very much like to speak with you.

No, a touring with DDP. If they're just replacing the rear windshield as far as I'm aware, it doesn't require any recalibration of the cameras since there are none in the rear windscreen. If there was trunk/bumper work to be done then that would require recalibration of the cameras/ sensors
 
From my experience with the closest Lucid approved shop, they have free reign to charge whatever they want. And in my case, they wanted to charge 3-4x what Lucid would have changed for the part and service I needed (not glass replacement in my csse) . Highway robbery imo. It is a definite issue with the very limited accessibility of Lucid's service centers.

Yeah unfortunately they charge arm and a leg because there aren't that may of them around. I assumed from your post that you were trying to get the windshield replaced
 
While there may be shops that are charging more than they should, it's complicated. To be a Lucid-approved shop, they have to send technicians to Arizona for training and buy a lot of expensive equipment. How many repairs do they amortize that expense across? It would be cheaper if there were more Lucids around needing repair.
