Your experiences on parts availability please...

We are experiencing this as well, with many parts going on backorder for 2-4 weeks. Expedited shipping may be available for parts that are in stock, but the fees may be cost prohibitive.

Reputable Repair Shows in Phoenix Area?

You may want to ask your agent if you have the right to appraisal provision on your policy. It's not mandatory in Arizona on auto policies, so it's possible that Farmers does not offer that (it's that way in California). Raintree is likely familiar with this, but it is essentially a tool for a...

Someone decided to drop an entire hvac trunk(?) on dumbarton bridge

Figure on $4000-$6k to start, depending if the impact bar/air reservoir tank got damaged or not, it could go much higher.

Buyer's beware of lucid and its fragile parts

Paint film thickness on the sensor would affect the sonar signal, so it has to be remain thin.

Sideswiped my garage door frame this morning. Insurance vs. Out-of-pocket + DFW shop recs?

Same thing happened when the Model S came out. Again, I'm spit balling here based off your photos. If the aluminum is not cracked, it could potentially just be repaired and painted. Park Place should be able to assess this for you when stop by for a quote. If you think this is insane, your 911...

Sideswiped my garage door frame this morning. Insurance vs. Out-of-pocket + DFW shop recs?

Looks like Park Place is your closest Lucid certified shop in Dallas: I would replace that bumper cover if it were at my facility, which sells for around $1500 excluding labor, paint, and tax. Price typically ends up in the $4000 range. On a Lucid, the entire unibody is considered to be the...

    Paint Failure?

Typical ceramic coatings are .02 to .08 mils (in comparison to clearcoat being 1.2 - 2.5 mils). I've yet to see a ceramic coating trigger that warning on all the cars we've done here.

3mo to fix two six inch scratches?

Although I can't speak on behalf of Dulles, I do know that the folks that run the CRN (collision repair network) for Lucid hold us to a very high standard, let alone with how challenging it is to even join the program. Did you speak to customer care at all? This type of complaint would route to...

    Paint Failure?

Completely understand! Ceramic coatings are great to help provide UV protection and aid in the cleaning/maintenance of the paint, but to ultimately stop rock chipping, paint protection film (PPF) is the best solution on the market at this point. Ceramic coating is not thick enough to stop...

    Paint Failure?

In most of the country, body shops are required to use a waterborne basecoat and a solvent based clearcoat. Since this is a pearl effect color, it has a layer of red base, followed by multiple coats of pearl to acheive the desired color. After that, 2-3 coats of clearcoat are applied to lock...

Reach out to Barsottis, they have PDR tooling at their facility: https://www.barsottis.com/ They are Lucid certified as well.

    Paint Failure?

Zenith red has a tinted clear applied in the factory, which looks a bit different when it flakes (on top of it being a 3-stage pearl color). A mil gauge reading will tell the truth if that panel was ever re-sprayed. In the collision repair world, we do not tint the clear when we apply it, we...

Socal EV FEST - 6/6/26 - Long Beach City College

https://www.instagram.com/socalevfest/ We will be there again this year, with an updated booth! I'm not sure if Lucid will be there, but I reached out to their team to see if they plan on attending.

New service center opening up in Downtown LA

Lucid has job postings live now on their site to start staffing a new service center in LA. I do not know the address/location yet, but I'm curious if anyone else has heard about this? This will be a big help to Mitch and his team at Beverly Hills.

Racoon ran in front of car...gonna be expensive

Rather than going to the service center, is there a certified Lucid body shop near you? They may be able to get this repaired quicker.

    Lease Returns - Cosmetic repairs

I have seen a steady increase in 2023/2024 vehicles that are starting to end their leases and need some type of cosmetic repair work before turning in their Lucid. We are happy to offer budget friendly, competitive pricing for forum members who have small issues that need to be resolved before...

Ordering parts for a Salvaged Air Touring

All the Lucid certified shops are required to invest hundreds of thousands of dollars in tooling and training before they will even refer one customer to us for repairs. So yes, the cost of repair will remain high until the brand sees more penetration into the market. Lucid allows many parts...

    Upcoming events in Los Angeles?

Hi everybody, I'm happy to help sponsor an event or if there's interest, to host another Lucid & Lattes event at my shop. I don't see anything posted about EVFest for 2026 (unless I missed it). I hope everyone is off to a good 2026 so far.
