Gravity Bugs / Issues

Until then, you'll have to get used to that occasional vibration.
I have had this for a while. There is a road patch on my daily drive and it happens every time but only when I am using cruise or dream drive. It stops immediately if I disengage cruise/DD. Service center said it was an alignment issue and did an alignment. No change.

Had a few issues already with the driver window. From getting off track because it was loose, to pressuring hard on the rubber failing to properly close and now the latest is that it stop moved 3/4 of the way down. Calling customer service now. I hope it’s not 3 weeks wait to then have the car in their shop for another 3 weeks. Had any of you had success with the mobile mechanics to fix any of these issues?

Had a mobile tech check my window out, but they said it was too complicated to take apart the door to resolve the issue outside of a SC, so now the car has been in service for a while...

Could you take a video? I believe you, I’m just quite curious; you have to drive pretty slowly, and pretty close to the other cars.

This may all be moot anyway; I find it slow, so I don’t generally use it, but it does work for me.
I am going to take a video just to troubleshoot and to send to lucid software email.

Like you said, I don’t really expect to use it, but I do want to know why it’s not working.

They can take the door apart on a mobile visit for the window. They’ve done it for me before. Your mobile tech just didn’t want to take the time or couldn’t given his/her schedule.

Anyone else having the whistling issue with hvac? I’m particularly interested in owners who have had the car long enough to know what the “original” whistling sounded like.

I’m two weeks in but I have the whistling noise. Decreases substantially when I turn off auto or lower the air in the back (though it’s coming from the front).

Only when my wife not-quite-closes one of the dash vents.

At 4:23 today, I walked into the garage with the fob in my pocket.
The car auto-unlocked and the garage door opened up at the same time.
I was 5 feet from the car and was not even close to the garage wall opener.
I did not have any remote garage door opener on me.
My assumption is the Gravity sent the command to open the garage door.
I submitted the above to [email protected] with my VIN.

This one seriously needs fixing.
I often have trouble getting Gravity's on-screen garage door opener "button" to trigger when I tap it. I wonder if these are related issues

Completely agree.
I've read the reports on the forum about this happening but was really shocked to see it happening to me.
This is a safety issue for Lucid owners.
Nobody would want their garage opened randomly like this.
Because of this, I may have to disable auto-unlock.

I had kind of a bummer situation today in the Whole Foods parking lot. I was pulling out in my Air and saw a dad put his little on into his Gravity and walked to close the rear hatch. I put the window down and admired the all black and stealth trimmed Grand Touring. I asked him how he likes it. His response was a half hearted and downtrodden “it’s pretty good but the software is terrible.” I actually asked him if he was on 3.6 and he said yes the latest.

This is a great real world example I think why Cosmos is delayed. They cannot afford to get it wrong. That guy should have been thrilled with his 100k+ purchase and instead he struck me as someone who was one and done with Lucid. Obviously I’m a big Lucid fan but if anyone else asks him about the vehicle and he gives the same answer, that’s NOT the message Lucid wants its early adopters giving to others.

This isn’t a Gravity bash. I would love to own one. It’s just one of those real world encounters underlining the work ahead for the company.

Yeah I still haven’t experienced this but have also read the reports. It’s definitely an odd one.

My bet is it is latent “geofenced” code that was there when we bought the car originally, running under the hood. It was buggy, so they disabled it, but now I’m wondering if they only disabled the UI, lol

Agree, happened to me three times, so its pretty rare but also too dangerous. Anyway HomeLink is majorly broken for me showing the wrong house's device 80% of the time. Most likely will go back to physical openers or phone until its fixed.

Once in a while my Homelink pop-ups are blank. After pressing the homelink "house" a couple more times, they show quickly, like they should.

Seeing all the issues people had with Homelink, I never even bothered trying to set it up in the Gravity. Didn't need yet another software annoyance when this still works perfectly fine...

Mine works fine. The custom button at times takes a few clicks to work but it always immediately works if you click homelink on the screen. I have not experienced the garage door opening without user activation.

Cool. Unfortunately this is another great example of the hit&miss nature of Lucid, and the Gravity in particular. There's a long list of issues that affect many, but not all. It's usually not just something that fails on one or two cars (which we'd write off as just normal, random component failure). So many of these seem to impact large chunks of the fleet (meaning it's a systemic issue), while many others seem unaffected. It's actually rare to see someone post a specific issue without multiple others replying with "Yeah, mine's doing that too!". While others reply with "Odd, mine's not doing that at all".

It's gotta be a nightmare for the company and techs trying to troubleshoot this model when it's so hit&miss from one car to the next. Which just seems odd since you'd think the software would be the same on all of them (once updated).

Just returned from another 2500 mile road trip. Had one instance where the ACC failed with a "sensors blocked" error that stayed on for an hour. I assume it was because I was driving directly into the bright sunrise.

But then when I pulled off and did the first DCFC of the day (and cleared the windshield and front sensor which wasn't dirty), the error still showed when I started to leave the station (not into the sun). I stopped the car at the station and did a long reboot. Error message was still there. But then I put it in Drive and by the time I exited the lot, it went away and everything was fine. Weird.

Has anyone had issues with 3.6.4 wired carplay? Mine keeps booting me off, but wireless works. I reset the car this morning so will see if it's still an issue, might be related to the cord or plug now.
