V2H Coming Soon

V2h is very important to me as our power goes out 3-4x each year. But the delays are now meeting a new ceo who pulled all guidance for the year, so everything is uncertain and the only thing known is he plans to focus on managing costs to get the midsize and uber/nuro robotaxi. I don’t want to spread fud, just until priorities and guidance are re-confirmed, hopefully, in three months don’t put too much weight in historical guidance at this point (and be thrilled when it materializes!).

Not the answer I wanted, but thanks anyway for the clear explanation.
 
I had been delaying having my LCHC installed until Lucid offered some clarity on how V2H would work. I knew there had to be additional hardware involved--there's no way around it. But circumstances required that I go ahead and have it installed anyway, so now I am less antsy to get the V2H specs nailed down. Still, I live in hurricane country and would love to be able to use my car to power the house if needed.

What happens if I already have a transfer switch installed to power the panel from a portable generator?

We'll have to wait until Lucid releases V2H details to find out.
 
I waited 3 years for V2H and still waiting. We just have another PG&e power outage that affected over 5000 customers. It would be nice to have V2H right now.

Install a transfer switch and buy a portable generator. Total investment ~$1500

Where can we find all current info regarding V2H from Lucid. Mainly regarding the max power the car will generate/cover at an 80% charge and hours of coverage. Also, the mandatory equipment that will be needed.

This information from Lucid Motors would be very helpful as I am making changes to my home. Even if the status is “currently under regulatory review.”

There really isn't any current info. Lucid has teased it, but there's been nothing concrete, and no specs or realistic timeline for release. I wouldn't be surprised if there are people toiling away on V2H at Lucid, but with all the shake-up that's occurred, I wouldn't be surprised if no one is working on it.

Agreed. If I were running Lucid, this would not be on my top tier of issues to address.

Or to have customer service deal with once introduced.
Just make the cars bidirectional standards-compliant and let Enphase, DCBel, SigEnergy, etc do what they do best.

The person who told me about the Gravity sapphire also said they're working on it, but it won't be until next year, hopefully. So far, he's on point... so I true of him with his info.

Reading through this thread, the only thing that is clear is that no one really knows or is willing to give a firm answer, despite reassurances from individuals very high on the corporate ladder. It very well may be that it is not within their control (ie state/federal regulations) or that they are not actively working on it but don't want to admit it...🤷‍♂️

I think it’s the last one, if it is false it wouldn't take more than 4 years after saying you will get it.
It will be released when Tesla Roadster does 😉

As far as I understand, the actual “workings” of it are essentially done, and it’s stuck in regulatory hell.

I do not know that for certain, of course, but that’s my present understanding / reading of the tea leaves.

Well that is a possibility but I don't understand why they would not clarify the situation. When AA was delayed, didn't they say that they were waiting for Google certification? This "soon" platitude for the last 4 years just makes them look bad, IMHO.
