Lucid Gravity UX 3.6 is here!

Still can't make phone-as-key work like Tesla. Biggest singular disappoint with 3.6 honestly.
Or my previous Mustang Mach-E.

I'll still carry the fob, but I'm hoping when PAAK is implemented it will be more timely than having to stand at the door and wait 5-10 seconds like I still usually have to with my Gravity, even after 3.6. Between the fob and phone being present, I hope one of them works fast.

The times it does recognize the fob quickly (maybe 30% of the time) is it a bit quicker now (2-3 steps before getting to the door instead of right at the door like it used to). But the other 70% of the time it's delayed by 5-10 seconds, sometimes longer. Something just isn't waking up or processing on a timely basis.

I thought that Lucid always targeted fall for PAAK.

It isn’t in 3.6…this has been discussed a great many times and it is not in the release notes. Check back in the fall. Once it has been implemented, I’m sure we will all know

Yes, I see the normal steering wheel and I’m able to use the standard lane-centering DD without any issues. So are you saying the freeway I’m driving - US 101 in S. CA - isn’t full Hands-Free compatible?

Also, and i’m not sure if this is related, but my Driver Awareness feature is showing as Inactive too.
So your car is calibrated. No meet to keep driving on the highway to calibrate. But you’re having the same issue that I am with the driver awareness feature being unavailable, and that’s definitely related to our issue. See the other thread in the software section about this, there’s a few of us like this. Question for you, do you have multiple profiles set up and if so, are you using your primary profile or a secondary one?

It does require all the eye tracking stuff on.

Yes, I found the issue documented and commented upon several times in the other thread. That’s exactly what I’m experiencing. And to answer your question, I only have one profile set up and that’s the one I’m using.

Works fine on Air. It isn't on Gravity yet, so "can't make it work like Tesla" is a stretch when it simply doesn't exist yet, and the implementation on Air that does exist works fine. 🤷‍♂️

Nope, accurate. Yet, I still have to give myself permission to drive a $120k automobile whereas a $40k Tesla has it sorted.

Ever stood in the rain toggling Bluetooth on and off so that the app can connect and let you in? I have. Ever lack a cell signal and can’t lock the vehicle because it thinks you’re still driving? I have.

The "walk up to car and doors unlock with the key fob in your pocket" works fine for me and has ever since 3.6.0. Seems pretty much the same as PAAK from what I can tell except it is a key fob instead of a smart phone. I can remember two times I've had to wait about 5 seconds standing at the drivers door. I'm fine with this. Is this much different than PAAK, not really you just have to carry around the key fob (which if you are going somewhere that you will/must valet the car you need to carry around anyways). Also how do you open the frunk with PAAK (you take your phone out of your pocket, unlock the phone, bring up the Lucid App, then scroll down to the frunk icon and push the icon, or you could just take the key fob out of your pocket and press the frunk button. See PAAK isn't any more convenient).

maybe my use case is uncommon but I don’t carry a key ring since my phone is a key to my house. I carry a keycard in my wallet as backup and in case I ever valet. So not having to carry my fob would be confident. Not world ending by any stretch but it would be convenient.

Couldn't you just open driver door and press the frunk button with PaaK? The Lucid App option is there with or without PaaK

I don't use the frunk much for daily commute or groceries , but wish there was a physical button on the car to open it, then I may use it more lol. But still love it for road trips

I love the frunk for putting things in and they are out of sight of passers by. I think the key fob is more convenient than opening the vehicle (however you do it), and then reaching in to the screen (yes it is near the door on the screen) and opening the frunk. You can stand in front of the frunk and open the frunk, less movement if you have groceries in your hand(s).

I too would like it is the frunk had a physical opening button like the trunk does.

It does for my wife as well and I save her the hassle but letting her use it vs. me since at $120k, Lucid saw fit to only provide one. Also, the places I go for work, I can't carry the fob so it's a non-starter for me (same for a phone so relegated to the keycard)

It's baffling to me that while Lucid's vehicles have the best frunks in the industry, there no exterior button to open them.

Voice control when PaaK or fob has auto unlocked can potentially help with frunk opening QoL if the mic can pick up voice from outside, or gesture recognition from the dash cam

Is the Air’s PaaK done via a digital key in the phone’s wallet or pure Bluetooth through the mobile app?

Sorry to hear about your experience.

Ever stood in the rain toggling Bluetooth on and off so that the app can connect and let you in? I have.

Can’t say that I have. If it doesn’t unlock immediately, I push the handle and it unlocks. But >95% of the time it unlocks immediately.

Ever lack a cell signal and can’t lock the vehicle because it thinks you’re still driving? I have.
Nope. I have never seen this issue before.

App's bluetooth. No wallet support.
