What would you change?

Would you have preferred an old school key?

What I would prefer is what we have in our Honda Odyssey -- a proximity key fob that also has a small mechanical key that can be popped out and used in an inconspicuous key slot on the door handle if needed. And the fob is no bigger or heavier than the Gravity fob:

Couldn’t agree more! Preach.

I believe the key issue here is that in the Volvo XC90, the middle row seats are manually adjusted. The Gravity middle row seats are electrically (motorized) controlled. They are also auto triggered to move out of way when you drop 3rd row. Having independent middle section in 2nd row would greatly complicate electrical controls.

Yup. I totally get the more complicated design. But as a family hauler , personally , I would much prefer manual seats with the foldable middle given the choice. Also less chance of something going wrong.

What would I change? The second row should be a 3 part seat, vs 2 part seat. My 10 year old Volvo XC90 has a 3 part seat! It's way more convenient. You can fold the middle section and each of the two passengers can have a proper seat.
I don't have mine yet, but I have seen a couple of places that the middle DOES fold down separately--but manually.

This article (https://www.cars.com/articles/2025-lucid-gravity-up-close-grounded-in-luxury-474410/) has a picture of the right seat fully folded, the middle folded but not flat, and the left up.

I think there's a manual release at the top of the middle seat and an attachment bar that then slides out of the way into the left seat back.

Understand. Contrary to Lucid “No Compromises” moto, all cars are compromises. Lucid decided to focus second row on luxury and ease of use but compromised versatility to achieve that goal. Being as my primary use of second row will be adults, with grandkids only using it for short trips to dinner or the zoo. When my two kids were younger and we roadtriped with them, we had a Chrysler minivan with captains chairs which worked very similar to your XC90.

Amazing!!!!! That makes a ton more sense.

It's interesting (and a little unsettling) that I can pore over a car to the extent I have the Gravity and still miss something like this. Thanks for pointing it out.

I'd motorize the charge port door so it can auto-close. I suspect this seems dumb, but as a 10 year Tesla driver the hardest thing to get used to is having to manually close the charge port door. It seems like I have to stop the car, get out and push the charge port door closed about half of the time I leave the house. I'd gladly trade the second row seat motors for this: I open and close the charge port at least once a day, but I don't drop the second row seats very often.

Note that this is admittedly nit-picking, but it is the thing I would change. The things that really matter (range, ride, charging) are vastly better in Gravity than in any of my Teslas.

I would love to be able to buy a cover for the gap between the second and third row of seats. That would give us some small amount of concealed storage space (when the third row seats are stowed) and will be necessary for car camping. I'll probably cut a piece plywood to fit and wrap it in carpet for camping use.
Oh I didn't know that it doesn't have an auto-close charge port. We had a MX, sold it, and bought a Ford Lightning (which we really love) and it doesn't have the auto-close and I always have to get out to close it because I forget.

Perhaps a bit early, but we’re starting to get enough owners here to maybe get a sense of what (hopefully small) things could be better/different. I’m not talking about bugs or things that we know/ assume will be changed with software updates. I’m wondering about things like: are the side mirrors too small, is the HUD distance too far, would a digital rearview mirror be helpful, is the squircle quirky, etc.?

Any thoughts from owners?
I'd like a sunroof that opens.

FWIW, they didn’t go over it during my delivery and I don’t see it in the manual either…I only recognized it had it when someone posted about the latch on it not working correctly…

Here are another 2 things i’d change:

1. Paint colours available. At this point I’d go for the Lunar titanium but some more options would be nice. I get the space theme but they are pretty bland for such an exciting car.

2. Two tone interior option like the Air. Yosemite seats in front row and Mojave seats for 2nd and 3rd: more kid proof!!

Interesting that you like the two tone in the Air. I do as well, but a LOT of people complained about it. Thus the decision to do otherwise with Gravity.

I do think the switch to all black carpets was a good idea. But I’d love to see the seats in two different colors again. It’ll be interesting to see what they do with the Air interior whenever they do a refresh.

Amen to that. And I had really been hoping the gorgeous Santa Monica color palette from the Air Dream would carry over to the Gravity Dream. After four yours of living with it, it's still my all-time favorite car interior.

Yeah I love the two-tone too, but like 90% of people who ride in my car comment on it and think it's weird.

I am one of those folks who dislike the two tone. Glad they didn’t bring it to Gravity or I would’ve been stuck with black, I think.

Thank goodness for Gravity's black carpets though

My wife totally agrees with the need for more color choices. When we went for test drive at studio, there was a Zenith Red Air parked in front. She was quite upset that Zenith Red was not a Gravity color option.

If Gravity was offered in Zenith Red, that would be my first choice.
