I bought Lucid Air Touring 2023 having 11300 miles 3 days back. While driving home- 45 miles, I had a burst tire (245/40 ZR 20 Michellin Pilot Sport EV). When I test drove, it was wonderful. When I brought home, used to feel a slight drag to the right. I took family for a small round. On the last 1/2 mile, the tire burst. A deck contractor friend after feeling the tire and general cursory glance, felt that there is no issue with the alignment. He is like me but slightly more knowledgeable and not a mechanic. I thought I had a respectable discussion with the seller and Lucid. The seller initially asked me to bring the vehicle and would look at the tire and check the alignment. But he was listening to my friend who was helping me with my questions about alignment. So, the seller bluntly says, there is nothing wrong and not willing to look at it. Current state, I am ordering the tire from Costco - was not available anywhere else except Lucid showroom for $650/- avail immediately, whereas at Costco I got it for $450/-. have to wait for 4-7 days. I am concerned still about the alignment. Alignment verification at Lucid is expensive. I have 2 questions: is it ok to run with one tire 11300 miles with 0 miles on the other side. Back tires are 265/40/20. I am guessing there are no rotations on these tires. Any helpful hints respected.
