I think I failed to be clear…there will be a gap between the trunk and the back of the second row seats. Nothing is included to cover that space.if that's the case, imagine the legroom!

I'd hope that Lucid would at least have an optional accessory to provide a flat floor in the 5 seat configuration. If not, I'd probably fabricate one for myself. Maybe I should start a small side-line business of manufacturing them with my CNC router in the workshop.I think I failed to be clear…there will be a gap between the trunk and the back of the second row seats. This was my first thought as well but...since the 2nd row still moves forward and backwards I am unsure how that would work since there would be no accurate size (since it is ever changing).I'd hope that Lucid would at least have an optional accessory to provide a flat floor in the 5 seat configuration. Good point. I'd need a Gravity to play with in order to brainstorm ideas. This was my first thought as well but...since the 2nd row still moves forward and backwards I am unsure how that would work since there would be no accurate size (since it is ever changing).
When you come up with an answer, let me know. I need something.Good point. I'd need a Gravity to play with in order to brainstorm ideas.
Theoretically, I suppose one can use a flat platform with a sliding mechanism to adjust the width. When you come up with an answer, let me know. I need something.

CONGRATULATIONS! Enjoy your beautiful Gravity, and thank you for the pictures. It looks the same as the three row version but you gain the storage area under the floor where the third row is stored.I picked mine up today. Here is the back space.
Nice. Does the 2nd row move forward (i.e. is the same 2nd row as a 7-seater), or is it fixed in the back-most position?I picked mine up today. Here is the back space.

At my delivery, I called it the watermelon catcher. I think that’s when it’ll be the most problematic is when you go to the grocery store and have fruit that escaped from its bag and then it can get under the second row seats so I’ll have to be careful with that so I don’t have rotting food in my car.Maybe we can convince WeatherTech or such to make a cargo mat to cover the entire back area when both rows are folded flat. It would at least make the Gravity Gap disappear and give better footing for four-legged friends on road trips.
When the 2nd row is folded down, is it always in the same position? Or is it variably forward/back, depending upon the position the seat was in when up?Here it is folded flat and it does go completely flat...with a gap.
Those are skills that I definitely do not posses but it is a good idea. I’ll ask my husband if this is something he forks do for me. ThanksIt would be really easy to cut a piece of 1/4 inch plywood and cover it with black speaker fabric to completely cover that gap. You could get fancy and add a piano lid type hinge to the middle so that piece would fold in half and nicely fit in the now empty rear sub trunk.

And in your photos with the seat up, is that gap with the 2nd row moved all the way back?
I'm slightly surprised that the indentations for securing the 3rd row are still there. Given how emphatically it's been stated that the third row cannot be added back in, I'd sort of assumed the latch points would be plugged and look like just part of the flat surface in the 5 seat model.
*slaps back of folded second row* "You can fit SO MANY watermelons in this bad boy..."At my delivery, I called it the watermelon catcher. I guess it is better than when I was showing my Air to a few policemen and mentioned you could fit 5 dead bodies in the trunk.*slaps back of folded second row* "You can fit SO MANY watermelons in this bad boy..."
Does it have the same sliding mechanism as the 3 row? The configurator shows a different mechanism (no slides in the 2nd row footwell). When the 2nd row is down it is always in the same position.
In my photos the seat is all the way back, yes.
The indentations surprised me too but only because they look unfinished but so does the gap so…
I’m glad I got the 5 seat option because I had a third row in the past and never used it but not in love with how the finished product looks. It just doesn’t look finished.
