Gravity Bugs / Issues

Good idea. Do you have a specific product rec?
I used this. Taped a paper to the screen and drew an outline and cut out the shape. Discovered the screen was a trapezoid and not a rectangle.

#5 and 6, when you say "fixed", does that mean "getting it to work until the next time it craps out", or fixed as in "it's not coming back"?
The OTA software update that ran last night appears to have fixed the 3rd party media apps dropping without requiring the profile switch to reload them. The update notes did not indicate a key/fob/access fix although I have not attempted to access my Gravity to test if that was addressed.

Currently, the ones that seem the most prevalent/confirmed by Lucid are:

1) Key fob issues, access and/or inability to put car into gear - Confirmed by Lucid with a fix coming soon
2) Possible key card issues, similar to above, but this seems limited to a few vehicles
3) Keep/Pet mode - confirmed by Lucid as not working currently
4) Erroneous error reporting when first starting the vehicle - Confirmed by Lucid with a fix coming soon
5) Camera error - no cameras available, fixed by performing a vehicle reset (brake + X + Mic)
6) Loss of sound/connection for 3rd party apps, fixed by a profile switch

Others which may be unique include:

Frunk not operating properly (no surprise there)
Misaligned top spoiler on trunk (I suspect this is actually a design choice since every single vehicle looks the same)
3rd row mechanism not aligned properly
2nd row not folding flat
It's my impression that on my Gravity the 2nd row doesn't go completely flat because of the stiffness of the leather seats. If you push down on the seatback it will go completely flat but it appears to just hang up on the cushions from the adjacent seats. I don't view this as a problem that needs addressing but as something that will go away with repeated use.

That's possible, I guess, but fwiw, both rows of ours go completely flat. The second row lies completely flat right away, and the third row lies completely flat once stowed, with no bulge.

I opened the Gravity frunk yesterday and found a rubber gasket lying in the bottom of it. I don't know when it came off, but I was able to pop it back into place. It had two conical "mushroom" pop-in plugs that appear not to have been pressed fully into place during assembly.

Interesting, I just washed my Gravity and found this trim piece partially dislodged (the end closest to the rear of the car had popped out). However, I've used the frunk before and swear that it wasn't like that previously.

With respect to washing the car, you think you are all done and then get the key fob to move it and all the door handles open and release water. In the future, I will need to make sure the door handles present while I still have a towel handy.

This is like the Air, which is very good at hiding water after a wash. For the Air I use a leaf blower to get out hidden water and open the trunk and frunk before drying the car fully. From what I’ve heard washing the Gravity requires a LOT of attention to water hiding spots.

Hoo, boy. Our Air is far and away the "drippiest" car I've ever owned. I use both a leaf blower to blow and a shop vac to suck water out of the mirrors, the hood, the trunk lid, and the cantrail trim, and I still have to towel off some areas after driving a few miles.

I was hoping the Gravity would dry a bit more easily.

We did the 3.2.1 update today during the couple of hours we had access to the Gravity between the PPF shop and the radar installer. It seemed to cure our issues with staying connected to Tidal. We did not have time to try to program Homelink, which we'll try to do over the weekend.

None of the other software issues we've uncovered so far were resolved by the update. The nav system still shows the car in Arizona (although a bit closer to Florida than Newark, CA or off the west coast of Africa, both of where it has recently been reported to be). And we still cannot get the clock to display EDT instead of PDT, even though we tried to set it manually. We also had the temperature settings switch on their own to Centigrade and then back to Fahrenheit. A mobile tech is coming out (next week probably) to reload 3.2.0 which, I hope, will rectify these issues.

Actually, the most aggravating thing we've found so far is a squeaky rattle in the driver side of the second row seats. The noise disappears with someone sitting in the seat, but it is loud and constant with no one occupying the seat. Even just jiggling the seat back with your hand will produce the noise when the car is at a standstill. I'm hoping the mobile tech can correct it and spare the car a truck ride across the state.

On the upside:

- The handling is superb, with the RWS really showing its chops in things like tight inside-lane-to-inside lane turns.

- The highway ride is eerily quiet (except for that damned seat rattle), appreciably more so than our already quiet Air.

- The acceleration is more than brisk, although weather and traffic conditions today prevented our really pushing it.

- The squircle was a shocker. After hating our Tesla yoke to the point of replacing it with a proper wheel, I was in dread of how I would find it. It's actually easy to use, feeling instantly intuitive and providing a great view of the glass cockpit.

And here is the second most aggravating thing about the Gravity: the reflections above the HUD. It looks to be a reflection of distortion in a protective film, but if there is one there I could not get a grip on it to pull it off.

I also had the 2nd row rattle and my local service guys took care of it when I had it in for the key access issues.
