OTA Update 2.6.16

Wanted to pass along some intel I got from the Lucid rep test driving the Gravity today in NY

He said they are, in fact, working on a “massive” software update to bring the Air closer to UX 3.1 capabilities. He said it may include the ability to switch the range estimator from the EPA rating to a “dynamic” estimate based on your actual miles/kwh 🙌

Also: He claimed that the Tesla supercharger adapters should be available within weeks. He said owners will get an email with purchase details (so I guess they aren’t sending them out for free 😔)

2 new issues for me today: 1) on a lunch trip, got crazy good m/kw - like 6+ - but never over 6.21? Ie - I could be going downhill and letting regen feed it while at 6.08, and it would go up to 6.21 and stop? And 2) my change lane doesn’t work? I hit it and the msg comes up then switches to ‘hands on wheel’ but nothing happens!? (Used to execute pretty quickly once in the mode). Have not tried any resets yet. ‘23 touring, 30k miles, love it!

6.21 (=10km) is the max it displays.

Figured it was something like that. Also possibly the wildly high value just cause I hadn’t driven that far yet. Either way - not really concerned just throwing out for a data point (since I rarely have any of significance!!)

Another data point for DRIVE SYSTEM WARNING on '22 Air GT. I have had 2.6.16 for a while now (I forgot when but probably weeks ago?) with no discernable issues. This morning I got a big yellow triangle with a ! , Drive System Warning, contact customer care. I did a power cycle for 30 minutes and the warning went away. I contacted CS and they could not view the logs and wrote it off as a 'software glitch'. CS indicated that this update improved the subsystem checks and is now detecting more 'false positives'. Having read some the experiences here, I am worried that this is an intermittent true positive. What is the best way to get my logs reviewed? Can @marqie help me with that?

Call your local service center. They're the ones who can review the logs. It really helps them if you keep a date and time log for any errors you see. Some logs get wiped after 2 weeks, so they need to be recent errors to be sure they can see them.

It’s 40 lock/unlock cycles, iirc.

Has anyone figured out how to solve the issue of charge speed dropping with LHCS? The charge session starts at full 18kW but drops to 7kW after about 35-40min. This has started happening after the most recent update.

Mine has done this for a little while and the tech says there are a couple of issues with install. Is your cable getting hot?

Not hot, but it definitely gets hotter than idle. I did not notice this happen before the OTA though.

This warning did not go away after several days and power cycles. The car is now at Goose Island to determine the cause. Lucid rented a nice BMW 530e for me to use in the meantime.

I've had the drive system warning come on twice since the 2.6.16 update. Mobile tech has replaced the coolant valve on both occasions. (Coolant pumps were also replaced on the second visit.) The first replacement coolant valve only lasted three weeks before the warning light was back on. Tech said the coolant valve fault has been so common recently that he always tries to keep a couple replacement parts in his van.

Saw a couple of posts here and wanted to chime in. I also got a Drive Systems Warning after 2.6.16 update. Lucid Service took care of it with this being the reported issue and fix for me:

Cause: Coolant 5 port valve malfunction

Corrections: unable to verify concern checked codes and found stored code for 5 port coolant valve, ran thermal bring up and found that it passed the
test, test drove vehicle and found no instances of a drive fault warning, checked codes after test drive and found active code for 5 port valve, checked
and following fault tree found that the 5 port coolant valve must be replaced. Replaced 5 port coolant valve and verifyied repair
