I had a GT Gravity reserved from Day 1, and switched it in April to a Dream Edition. Haven’t heard from anyone. You can remove my GT order and put me in the Dream Edtion Registrations. White with the Mojave interior,

Agree...but then all "summer tires" are fairly useless heading up to Tahoe in winter storms so those Hankooks will have to GO. Interested in learning more about winter and A/T options for the various rim sizes on Gravity

Curious why you upgraded, if you don’t mind my asking? I have a GT(no HUD) and DE reservation and have been told I am likely to get the GT first. Seems odd to me.

Idle (and probably misguided) speculation here, but I'm getting the feeling that some issue has developed with supplying HUDs even for Dream Editions. After a few indications that DE production and deliveries might finally be getting underway in meaningful numbers, things suddenly seem to have sputtered to a halt. We're almost a month beyond the first two DE deliveries in Scottsdale with not a single other confirmed delivery being reported since.

This would explain why a GT without a HUD might be delivered before a DE.

Dream edition wasn’t available for me to order when first placing order online.

Per my sales advisor this weekend:

“I have some customers taking delivery by middle of next month. We do have some available builds that we are matching to the closest matching customers right now. If one matches you I will let you know. No perfect matches so you’d likely have make concessions on at least a couple options. Should have test drive units before any deliveries, I’ll keep you in the loop.”

Not sure what the deal is. My only no go for a dream edition is the largest wheel size. But not like there are many options for these models so not sure if he’s mixing up a gt or a de.

You can always buy the smaller wheels later. They’ll switch them out anyway.

I don’t think they’re delivering anything right now for likely more than one reason…

I think it’s not just the HUD. They were going on and on about really spinning up deliveries at end of April. Then total silence.

I think next real update will be earnings call. No movement until then. Total idle guess on my part too.

Just a reminder that I should be moved off the DE list and back to the GT list. Received my proforma invoice today, so looks like I'll be sticking with my decision at this point :) All options maxed except that I chose to do the power package instead of the HUD. White/stealth, Ojai, 20/21s.
 
I may be in your boat soon. I have a pre-production VIN on a GT and still waiting for movement on the DE. Did they let you apply your DE deposit over to your GT?

I'm hoping that I can get mine by August, although there's definitely been no clarity on timelines. I'm not reading into receiving the proforma and vin too much. I'm sad about the HUD and supposedly not having dash/door light strips. But I figured it was probably the fastest way to get a Gravity, and I bet by the time they have their HUD software totally ironed out, I might as well have gotten a HUDless one anyway 😏

You actually make a very interesting point about the HUD and especially for those considering leasing. We all know Lucid isn't at the forefront of fast software enhancements, and it appears the HUD is in very basic form at the moment. It could take Lucid one or two years to get the HUD anywhere near to what they're selling it as, meaning that getting a HUD less car now may not be that big of a deal. By time your lease is up you may have only missed out on 12 to 18 months of a fully functioning HUD. The kicker is definitely the lighting though.

I'm reminding myself that I love my current car, which has no fancy lights on the door or dash :) I wish Lucid had been clearer about the differences between dynamic and regular lighting. If I had known that the standard ambient lighting wasn't just a color changing thing and literally had fewer lights, I probably would have kept my DE order. But now seeing on paper the final number I'll be paying (nearly $130k with fees and taxes, etc for my build), I'm glad I won't be paying the $155k or so that I would have been paying for the DE 😅
