Seemingly as of updating to 2.6.16, my AT is starting home charging sessions at the full 18kw my charger is cable of delivering, but then at some point decreasing to 9kw. This happened the first time about midway from a 30-80% charge. I stopped and then re-started the charge from the car, but that didn’t fix it. I then unplugged the cable and plugged it back in, which returned it to 18kw. I’ve just charged again, this time starting at 40%, and it has once again dropped to 9kw. I noticed this when checking the status at 76%, so I think it happened beyond the midway point this time. I’m just going to let it finish at this speed, but I was wondering if anyone else is experiencing this issue. I don’t see how there could be any issue with the line coming into the house, so I figure the issue must be with the charger or the car.
 
Interestingly enough I noticed this the other day, I don’t often charge via the LCHC but I’ll try it again to see if my experience was a flook.

Also, I probably wouldn't mess with this issue… Contact an electrician and ask him to make the necessary measurements to be sure that the power is being delivered properly and the installation is correct.
 
Please let us know what your electrician says. My guess is that something is overheating.
 
Team- I'm in the same camp. I used to get 17kW like CLOCKWORK. Now, post update, I'm falling to 12kW like CLOCKWORK. Essentially going from around 75 miles per hour added to 50. Seems too coincidental to be related to everyone's breaker or power utilization. Like the above owners, I'm pulling directly off of a 100AMP breaker.

I'm experiencing the same issue post update, 2.6.11. My LHC is connected directly to a dedicated 100 amp breaker. It is not a breaker or a charger issue, nor an electrician is needed to inspect anything. Never had an issue charging prior to the update. It all started after the update.. it does start off charging at 75-80 miles/hour for the first hour and then starts tapering off. At the end of the charge, the overall average is around 50 miles/hour.
I'm glad to hear that I'm not the only one experiencing this.
 
I'm getting 5kw after about 30 mins at 11kw charging with Tesla wall charger with adapter. I swear this slow down starting happening after software updates. The Tesla charges at full speed no slow downs.

I'm literally shaking my head at myself. I've had the exact same problem for the last few weeks. It never occurred to me it started around the time of the update. I even made another post about it in another thread when it first started happening. But yeah, same thing on a Tesla Gen 3 wall charger. I was getting the full 11.5 kw since I got the car in March and now it is tapering down after about 30 mins-1 hr down to anywhere between 6 kw-9kw. I had no issues before the update and no issues using it on my prior Tesla for 5 years.

I'd really be curious to see how many more here have had this issue. Hopefully we get Lucid's attention for a fix.
 
Yeah, it’s not an electrical issue here because I’ve had it charging correctly for ~9 months and the cable isn’t getting any warmer than it usually does. My 100A breaker is on my main breaker panel and not part of the sub-panel, so it’s a nice direct connection. It pulled 17-18 kw for at least half of the last charge, then at some point tapered down to 9 kw. I went out to check and thankfully neither the charger nor the cable were unusually warm. Glad to know I’m not the only one, so hopefully this is rectified in an upcoming software update.
 
I bet this is more widespread and maybe people don't want to speak up or aren't paying attention. I'm a 2 year owner of my Pure and probably noticed this slow down this past year. I understand when it happens during summer as cable gets pretty warm, but this was happening in the cooler weather. Once again no slow down on the model Y. It's possible that the Lectron adapter is slowly failing maybe..or possibly a software issue.
 
That's the other thing that was also mentioned in the other thread i referenced in my last post...it's gotten noticeably hotter down here in Miami over the last few weeks. So that could also be a factor. Hard to know if that or the update bc they both occurred around the same time!
 
I’m actually in Fort Lauderdale, so yeah, it is getting quite hot here. But it was just as hot months ago and this issue wasn’t present. Same with just prior to the last update, it was just marginally less hot. My car runs the cooling fans when I charge to compensate for the heat, but they seem to run at the same speed in all weather. Certainly nothing like when fast charging.
 
Just to be clear: this is happening regardless of EVSE? It sounds like it’s happening to both Lucid’s LCHCS and Tesla wall chargers (I’m assuming because @SBD1500 mentioned an adapter)

Can folks whom this is happening to just sound off with:
1) location?
2) has the weather gotten hot recently? (May be unrelated, but seems worth tracking, maybe)
3) which EVSE do you have?
4) how long before it slows down, and what speed does it slow down to?
5) is the cable/plug hot?

Just trying to help narrow it down and find a repeatable / reproducible test case.
 
Lucid Home Charger 11kW 60amp breaker. On 2024 Lucid Air Pure got 52 mi/hr (over the last year). Driving a 2025 Lucid Air Touring (2.6.16) I am getting 44 mi/hr. Have no idea if it has anything to do with the latest update. Have had 2022 Grand Touring twice and I don't remember the exact charging speed but I believe it was 52+ mi/hr charging.

Have reset the charger and did the Logo reset on the Lucid. Still 44 mi/hr on the Touring.

Comparing mi/hr isn't super useful between trims and model years since it's based on the EPA figure which is different for each one and even depends on your wheels/tires. 11kW is expected from a 60A breaker: 60 x 0.80 for continuous use = 48A usable. 48A x 240V = 11,520W.

I am getting 11kW across all of the different Lucid models I have charged. All models in the past have charged faster than 44 mi/hr. Might not be useful to you but I like using this as a comparison.

Seattle, WA weather has been mild.
Tesla Gen 3 wall charger.
Slow down happens after 30 mins to 1 hours.
Cable and adapter have not been hot to touch.

Sorry, I don't mean to say it isn't a useful number for something, just that it isn't enough information to see if there is a problem without that extra context. If you're getting 11kW on all of them, you're good, your charging setup is working as designed. Why the mi/hr figure is lower is a separate question. The Touring has a lower EPA mi/kWh than the Pure, so it will always have a lower charging mi/hr given the same input wattage.
I don't have the 2024 Pure specs in my head, but 2025 Pure on 19" A/S vs 2025 Touring on 19" A/S:

Pure: 420 EPA miles / 84kWh battery = 5.0 mi/kWh. 5.0 * 11.520 kW = 57.6 mi/hr.
Touring: 406 EPA miles / 92kWh battery = 4.4 mi/kWh. 4.4 * 11.520 kW = 50.7 mi/hr.

That's not far off from what you're reporting. If you factor in voltage drop, your 240V input could easily be 220V by the time it hits the Lucid EVSE. 220V * 48A = 10,560 W. With rounding that would still show as 11kW. 4.4 mi/kWh * 10.560 kW = 46.5 mi/hr. Even closer.
 
Thanks for the breakdown. Numbers are pretty close.

2024 Pure 19" : 420 EPA miles / 88kWh battery = 4.77 mi/kWh. 4.77 * 11.520 kW = 54.9 mi/hr. Car shows 52 mi/hr
2025 Touring 20" : 377 EPA miles / 92kWh battery = 4.09 mi/kWh. 4.09 * 11.520 kW = 47.2 mi/hr. Car shows 44 mi/hr

1. Miami (Pure '25).
2. Hotter more recently but around same time as latest update.
3. Tesla Gen 3 Wall Charger (used since 2020 - early 2025 on a Model 3 without any issue or changes).
4. Starts at 11 KW and about 30 mins-1 hr throttles down gradually to about 6-7 kw.
5. Cable is warm (it was not previously since I got the car in March 2025).
