Unusual buggy failures, warnings and faults aside, what do you think is the most pervasive day-to-day software frustration experienced by Lucid Air owners? I think it is the mobile app's inability to efficiently auto open the doors. Before anyone goes nuts, I know there are work-arounds such as carrying the fob and pushing in the door handles, but I want the ease and elegance of just using my phone. If only auto open worked as beautifully when you approach the car as auto close does when you walk away. It's not the end of the world. It never leaves me stranded. It just is the one thing that frustrates me daily, embarrasses me occasionally, and seems to be something that one really competent software engineer should be able to fix in a fairly short time. That's my number one. For me, waiting interminably for Android Auto pales in significance. Maybe I'm alone in this opinion. What tops your list?

Proper rollout of service centers is causing a complete variance in what owners experience depending on their proximity...

...but that's not software.

What is going to happen when those(myself included) have their warranty expires. Will I have to pay out of pocket to have my Air transported to another state(coming and going) if home service cannot fix a problem and it needs to go to a service center since there is not one in my state?

They need to fix all small issues besides the known issues like key fob and app

We need an injunction of robustness

The system randomly opens native maps at the start of wake up process after ac charging

The profile is not stable and switching takes a lot of time

It shows miles instead of KM for other regions during charging or boot up

The app widget is not stable

The Apple Watch app is not stable

The AC is not stable when you turn it through app , sometime it turns on the seat ventilation and stays on for some reason even after you start driving

There are a lot of small bugs need to be sorted but not deal breaker

Some bugs are not noticeable until you start to pay attention

the cameras and ADAS fail in long drive for no reason and won’t work until next time you wake up the car

The lights sometimes flash quickly when you unlock the doors through app then you open the door

The video from turn signal skips

Lately my auto door opening is disabled. This is because I was too close to the car in the garage and it repeatedly opened so it automatically disabled to save the battery. I do not know how to reactivate it. Not the end of the world, just a bit annoying. Otherwise the only annoying consistent problem is that the system defaults to the native map display on the cockpit panel after charging and starting CarPlay is sometimes fast and sometimes slow.

How about the charge door open when the car is sleeping in the garage? Looks like Luci is dreaming of charging.

I think this thread just goes to show why it can be difficult to prioritize features, as if you ask 10 different people about their "most important issue", you're likely to get 10 different responses. E.g. for me, the mobile key issue is something I literally care nothing about - if anything, for any gripes I have about the car (and this is a gripe I have about most modern cars, not just Lucid) is when I think it tries to be "too clever" about what you want to do, then ends up being a worse user experience for things that were easy to do for decades. E.g. the auto open door handles that are finicky when we had, you know, regular door handles for decades. The geo-fenced home link drop-down, when physical buttons on my other car are more desirable in every way to me. Someone mentioned the auto-profile detect - I wish there was a way to just fully disable this (maybe there is and I missed it) so you just had to choose to switch profiles upon entering the car - right now it's an absurd dance where if me and my partner are both entering the car, we make sure the passenger holds back before getting too close so it doesn't select the wrong profile. To be clear, these are all very minor gripes for me, just a general theme of "tech for the sake of tech" that is a bit of a pet peeve for me in the auto industry.

If anything, my biggest software feature request is probably some ability to record camera activity as a dash cam. But again, wouldn't be surprised if lots of folks don't care about this at all.

The biggest software issue is that the software team doesn't know how to write software. I can't think of any other piece of software that has so many annoying issues.

Just give me the source code and I'll fix it myself! :)

Its kind of embarrassing having friends or even clients accompanying me in the car and waiting few seconds waiting for door handle to pop out after multiple presses.
The key fob will make you happy, avoid embarrassment and brighten your life. 😊

You folk have software issues ?

I agree with your points, and am not at all surprised to think that 10 different people might have 10 different answers. I was after the mix of different number one issues more than I was seeking to validate that my own issue was truly number one, but I bet it's among the most often reported issues.

Same issue:

1 - When it was my turn to drive my lunch group, the doors would not open with the keyfob. I had to use my wife's car. Later, I replaced the few month old key fob battery, and learned to use the card as a fallback. Problem solved, except for the impression it left.

2- This week it was my turn to drive again with the same people, and the doorhandle push method failed. I used the keyfob. It left another bad impression.

Hmm.. listing issues large and small is easy - but gaining any agreement on priority is likely a waste of this group's energy since we are clearly not in charge.

I agree with the comments/issues with the mobile app/key apparent instability (works too well some times, not until I unlock the phone others.) Yes, I've tried all the phone-side settings.
In that same category: incredibly variable response to the iphone app to "waking up"... which should be handled between the phone app and the cloud. My wife's 2025 Volvo x60 recharge somehow never has this issue.

That said: I would put my vote on GENERAL SW INSTABILITY/UNRELIABILITY.
(My 2025 AGT just experienced its first SW crash while I was driving. (Saturday at 1330 Eastern if the service team is lurking.) I've had systems go offline left and right - but never a bunch of LUCID bootup screens. VERY disconcerting. This should NEVER happen. No idea what caused it. Don't want to try to replicate the failure to find out. Add this to audio issues, Dream Drive dropping off for no reason, LIDAR dies after 6 raindrops fall...)
