Hello all,

First things first, thank you to everyone on this thread for their robust discussion and tips and tricks, this forum has been extremely helpful for a new lucid owner who was just a quite lurker here. I need to come out of hiding because i need some help with the car, and i was hoping to get some expert advice.

My Background: Sold my Tesla Model S in Dec 2024 and got myself 2025 Lucid Air Touring. (Loving it so far)

Car updates: Things were working well for about 2 months and then all of a sudden i got a call from service saying they are getting an advance warning and the car needs to be serviced for rear drive unit pump not ramping up to speed. My car was towed to Coldwater,MI where they replaced the rear drive unit coolant pump. After the car was returned to me, when i would i sit in the car and press on the brake, the seat wouldn't return to my saved seat settings, the steering wheel would but the seat wouldn't move. When i would exit the vehilce, the seat and steering wheel would return to easy entry position. I called service, mobile lucid technician came out(super nice guy), diagnosed the issue and said it was a 'calibration issue' and that he was able to calibrate it.
The seat and steering wheel worked on entry and exit with easy entry setting but now stopped working again, same issue as above. Seat returns to easy entry position on exit but does not return to my profile seat setting on entry. I called the technician again, and he said that 'they have another car at Coldwater, MI service center with the same issue, and they need to see what the solution is on that car first.' He said they will contact me once 'they have a better idea of what's causing the seat issue'. Anyone had this issue? How did yours get resolved?

Apple Car play: Is it just my car, or everyone has the issue that when you put your car in park and exit, phone continues to be connected to lucid via carplay and the audiobook/music continues to play until you physically hit pause on the phone? Is this a lucid thing? Once you open the door, there is no physical button to turn the car off, is the car expecting you to return and hence keeps Carplay connected? I have mobilekey set up and passive lock/unlock is enabled. Shouldn't apple CarPlay disengage or at least pause audio when you open the driver door to exit the vehicle as it happens in most ICE vehicles with an on/off button?

Thank you all!

Not just you; this is the current behavior.

Is this a lucid thing?
No.

Yes.

"Should" it? Don't know; I kinda like that the music keeps playing while my wife is in the car, even if I've opened the door to grab the mail from the mailbox 🤷‍♂️

Once you *lock* the car, though, it disconnects immediately. So if you'd like it to disengage, at least for now, just push the door handle in or lock it with the fob once you've left the car.

Now, should the car pause *all* audio when a door is opened? Maybe; I'd love it if that were the option, but I'd also want the current behavior as an option.

Thank you @borski i will request 'pause all' audio option upon opening a door via lucid feedback! Hopefully someone has a solution to the seat issue or i will patiently wait for clearwater, MI to come up with a solution.

Yeah the CarPlay exit would be a great feature to add. In Tesla’s the volume also automatically decreases when you open the door.

Our 2023 Pure driver seat will recognize my wife for seat adjustment at least 50% of the time when we both enter the car even though I am in the driver seat. Also the seat sometimes refuses to adjust to my settings whether we are both in the car or just me. The car also misbehaves in various other ways but none of the misbehavior happens consistently. Sometimes the car will connect with my iphone for audio books or music & other times it refuses to connect no matter what I try, in fact the car will occasionally prevent my phone from playing anything at all. Occasionally the car will not go from park to drive or from drive to reverse. I have to repeatedly depress the brake until it finally moves into the drive mode I want. This is just some of the inconsistencies the software displays. So far I have just accepted this behavior as part of the character of the car which we have owned since July, 2024. I intended to point these issues out sometime in the future when the car goes in for service.

I am a new owner of a 25 Air Touring, what I am finding that if I am in my house near or in my den, my phone calls are going to the car that's parked in the garage. I try to move the call back to my phone by switching it manually, but it goes right back to the car. I have to manually turn off the Bluetooth, to be able to use my phone. Anyone experience this? I am an android user, Pixel 9 phone.

Lock your car manually with the fob. The reason that is happening is you have either a fob or your phone too close to the car, and it is unlocking, then taking over your connection.

Another option is to turn off passive unlock in the car.

I was not planning to carry the fob, hoping just to use the mobile key. It's hard to avoid my den which is close to the garage, so that's not a choice either. I guess once I enter my house, I'll just turn off my Bluetooth.

You could also just turn off passive unlock in the car; that way you can still unlock it using only mobile key, but just use press in the door handle to unlock the car instead of having it unlock automatically.

On the seat issue- on some updates the seat needs to be "homed"
In my case it would periodically lose homing and after the third or fourth time they just replaced the seat. Haven't had an issue since.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I will give that a try!

Sorry to hijack the thread but does turning off passive unlock and only using the mobile key lead to faster (or instant) unlock when you push in the door handle? The mobile key with passive unlock turned on is horrible for me, with a wait of up to 30 seconds sometimes. I'd have no problem just pushing in the door handle if it's instant.

You may still have a waiting period depending on when your BT antenna cycles back to active on your phone.

Just try it. You don't need to turn off passive unlock to use the door handle. Triggering the door handle does trigger the car to look for a key, whether you have passive unlock on or not.

Instead of waiting 30 seconds and whispering angry things under your breath, just push the handle. If that doesn't work right away, tap your phone. By the time you're holding your phone it should definitely be unlocked, or something is wrong.
