What is the maximum charge rate that you have seen?
It's just for the few seconds that the charger shows "initializing". The uppermost pins on EA's CCS connector don't always connect with the weight of the cable pulling the connector body down. See the 1-minute video. This is absolutely necessary to do on my Volvo EV to achieve better than a 50% success rate.So you are supposed to stand there in either the hot sun or freezing rain and hold the connector up manually the whole time the car is charging?
Lol I thought the “pull up slightly to initiate charge” tip was just something you found to just work. You'll see my comment on their video - that this info should be printed in bold type on every one of their chargers, not buried in a YouTube video.Lol I thought the “pull up slightly to initiate charge” tip was just something you found to just work. It’s a damn video from EA themselves![]()
I have seen and used 350 chargers in the spring. But here in Arizona when it got hot they all say "unavailable". I am wondering when the temps cool down perhaps the 350's will start working again. Who knows if this is a heat issue, strain on the grid issue or that EA 350 chargers are simply failing and will not come back to life.I haven’t seen a working EA 350 charger in Texas. I think they are just statues of unicorn.
I hear you, but that is more of a problem with EA than Lucid. I think the Gravity will do a lot better utilizing The Tesla network with the widespread implementation of V3and V4 chargersReviving this thread. I have leased a lucid about 1.5 years ago and have never seen a charge go above 145kW…..ever. I just have 1 month to go in the lease and am dine with Lucid.
You’re done with Lucid because you got 145kw max charging speed? What model do you have? GT or Touring or Pure? What were ambient temperatures? What was the lowest state of charge you’ve had when you plugged in? Do you have a L2 charger at home or only DC fast charge most of the time? It just strikes me as odd to be “I’d done with Lucid because I didn’t get the fastest charging speeds” and then provide zero specifics. I’ve gotten 301kw on my GT and 220kw in freezing temps on a properly pre-conditioned battery. My local EA is crap though and I’ve never gotten above 172kw even on their 350kw chargers. But that’s because EA is erratic, not Lucid.Reviving this thread. I have leased a lucid about 1.5 years ago and have never seen a charge go above 145kW…..ever. The charge is better than last time you posted almost the same information.Reviving this thread. I have leased a lucid about 1.5 years ago and have never seen a charge go above 145kW…..ever. I just have 1 month to go in the lease and am dine with Lucid.
I just don’t get your negativity about Lucid in general over something as trivial as your charge speed at fast chargers. Are they your only charging option? Do you precondition? Have you tried multiple different brands of DC chargers?Reviving this thread. I have leased a lucid about 1.5 years ago and have never seen a charge go above 145kW…..ever. He's consistent if nothing else. Done in February and still done in April. Can't please everyone I guessI just don’t get your negativity about Lucid in general over something as trivial as your charge speed at fast chargers. Are they your only charging option? Are the other factors making you “done with Lucid?”
