When will Gravity be available to test drive (Northern NJ)

Well said.

Key statement you made: "distinguishing between people asking for suggestions and minuscule group who complain is very important".
Very important yet very challenging.
Your post gets at the main challenge with most online forums; intent, perspective, and reason for participation.

The reasons people are on this forum can range from they love their Lucid, are shareholders, and want to share their experiences as well has help others like them or potential owners to they enjoy trolling whether for themselves or as part of an affiliation with a competing brand. And then you have all the reasons in between. Such as "I don't feel like reading the owner's manual to try to solve my issue or I shouldn't have to, so I'm just gonna ask or vent my frustration". Distinguishing the people and their intentions sometimes takes deciding to let the conversation play out through multiple posts or not. Letting the conversation play out can be rewarding, but sometimes disappointing. You can't get back that time with a troll.

Long live the Lucidowners.com forum!!!

BTW @DrLucid I hope things go well with the home minister and logic wins. :)
Sailing currently in smooth seas. Hope the tides don’t comeback soon; this time it will be challenging to dodge the bullet as it might be point blank😰🤪

So no update of when a production Gravity might be available to see in the northeast? I would really like to see one in the flesh before I plunk down a deposit. I’m still working on the info that mid March seems to be the timeframe

You can always put a deposit to get in queue. If things changed by mid-march then you can always cancel the order before confirming your vehicle configuration.

We live close to the Short Hills Mall. Anyone have any idea when the Gravity will be available to see and test drive out here? Trying to stop my wife from buying a MB EQS SUV. She's getting impatient.

Thanks in advance!

Jack
My 2 cents - don't rule out EQS if you like it.

Yes, Gravity looks like a better deal on paper (power, range, cargo capacity), but (i) unclear if everything that was promised will actually be delivered (real world range, software, interior quality, any issues down the road), while EQS has been around and you pretty much know what you get, and (ii) EQS is likely a better deal as MB dealers have a ton of EQ incentives, so MSRP is irrelevant.

I drove EQS 580 sedan for 2 years, great car - quick, efficient, great range with very minimal losses if you go above 85mph or drive in extreme heat. Had zero technical issues with it.

Test drove Air while I owned EQS Sedan - was not impressed, the car is nice but it's much smaller (it's more of a E-class / 5-series competitor) with unusable back row due to very high floor (unless you go with a small battery), and the software was meh - laggy, poor camera quality. Trunk is also on smaller side with a small opening. I brought a 7ft Christmas tree inside of my EQS sedan with no issues.

I was looking forward to getting a Gravity and had a pre-order, but as (i) there were no major updates on deliveries and my existing lease was expiring soon, (ii) there was a risk that EV credits / incentives might disappear with a new administration, I traded for EQS Maybach SUV - got a good deal, and cancelled my Gravity order.

Gravity might be better than EQS in some aspects, but EQS will likely win some points too in a face-off. All I'm saying is if you / your wife love EQS - feel free to go for it, it's a great car!

Pretty clear that Lucid just isn’t your thing!

I disagree. Yes, Air is probably not my thing. I mean it's a solid car, just not in the F segment, it's a great contender in E.

But I think Gravity is a fantastic car (if production vehicles deliver on all the promises) - as perfect as it gets, and I'd be thrilled to have one.

My point / advice was just that it's not the only good car around, and if a person test drove a different car, liked it, and is offered a strong deal today, then it might be prudent to get it, and not risk the uncertainties around delivery timelines / quality / etc.

If Gravity deliveries slip further into 2026, one might get left with significantly more expensive options than what's in the market today if the Trump's tariffs sustain.

Smaller on the outside, just as big on the inside. It only looks smaller. It has just as much usable space.

Back row is perfectly usable. Have driven cross country in it.

Camera quality is fantastic, and likely fixed since you last tried it.

Smaller opening yes, but I can pretty much guarantee you it is not a smaller trunk, at least by any measure of significance.

I brought one home in my Air 🤷‍♂️ (I’m not just saying that, I really did two years ago and it took forever to get all the needles out haha)

Yup, no car is perfect. Just gotta find the one that’s perfect for *you* :)
