Air Touring
New Air Touring, just had it for a week and loving it. However, something is wrong with microphone interaction. Using CarPlay on iPhone.
1. “Hey Lucid” does nothing
2. Short press on voice button brings up “Listening…” but car doesn’t hear anything I say
3. Long press on voice button brings up Siri, but again, Siri hears nothing.

Obvious answer would be that microphone isn’t working, but
1. If bring up Siri from my phone it hears and responds fine (change music, ask for the time etc.)
2. If I make a call with iPhone in my pocket others hear me clearly, so car microphone has to be working
3. If I get on a Teams call from CarPlay, everyone can hear me, so again, car microphone has to be working

Any ideas?

Even if it hears you, there is very little utility at this stage. But it does happen to me intermittently too.

I'm not sure what the problem is. But in a way, it's kind of funny. Most people have the opposite problem. They say Hey Lucid hears too much and turn it off.

If you don't enable carplay, does Hey Lucid "hear" you? I'm sure you've tried a logo reset already and the problem is consistent, not intermittent?

Thank you. I didn’t know about the logo reset, that seems to have fixed it!

I just picked up my new Lucid Air Pure yesterday and love it, but have also found the Lucid voice agent incredibly unreliable and frustrating to use. Sometimes it hears me and at other times it does not. I asked the guy who went through the car's features with me about the agent, and he admitted that he knows next to nothing about it. He told me that they switched from Alex "about a month ago", but it sounds like it was more like 4-5 mos ago.

I formerly had a Tesla, and relied heavily on their voice agent for all sorts of functions, and it worked remarkably well. I view this as a safety issue. Given the heavy reliance on a screen-based UI for most functions, having a reliable voice agent is extremely important. In my Tesla, I found myself in numerous situations where suddenly my windows fogged up and I could reliably instruct the voice agent to "turn on front defrosters", or found myself in a heavy downpour of rain and could tell it to "turn on windshield wipers on high", etc.

I'm sure that the switch from Alexa was an economic one for Lucid, however the primitive and unreliable performance thus far is very disappointing. If there is a Lucid team member on here, please get this matter escalated and resolved, or you are going to have some unnecessarily unhappy customers. Thus far, other than this matter, I'm loving the car, but still trying to find my way consistently through the UI.
