Does this update fix: intermittently no sound inside the car? (Including turn signals). Rebooting USUALLY fixes it but not ideal when youre out with passengers.

I don’t think so. SiriusXM as a native app keeps us in the Lucid UX. CarPlay is an independent UI living in a window in the Lucid UX. For me personally, I look at what I would use CarPlay for vs. Lucid‘s native experience:

Maps: I like Lucid maps as much as Apple. I would like to be able to share my ETA with my contacts which Lucid maps cannot do at this point.

SiriusXM: I use SiriusXM a lot. The 2.0.33 native SXM app is great based upon my initial time playing around with it. So, I no longer feel the need to have Apple CarPlay for this purpose.

So at this point, Lucid can handle SXM, Tidal, Spotify, Amazon Music and TuneIn without needing CarPlay. If Lucid added an Apple Music app to this list (like Tesla is about to release), then I really see little need for CarPlay.

CarPlay is more than music. For me, it is an alternative for the Lucid NAV system.

Because Apple hasn’t approved it yet. I believe the ball is in apples court to approve the final release.

I’m going to Dallas this coming weekend and hoping getting soon to put this Sirius XM is good use.
