2.0.24 Update

I was way at the tail end of the update push - definitely not part of the 100 - but received 2.0.24 today.

I just installed.24
It only took about 10 minutes to install.

In the last week or so I’ve gotten four 2.0.X updates.

What’s next?
Thanks

Just got back from a 160 mile road trip on version 2.0.24. I did notice the first time I got in the car after the update, the cameras were very slow. However, since then I haven't noticed any lag. The turn signal screens are also still instant. HA worked well except for when I wanted to change lanes, still fighting me resulting in a non-smooth execution. I was also having trouble toggling from HA to ACC. What's the trick there with the button sequence? Also, anybody notice the cancel button doesn't always cancel HA or ACC?

One embarrassing moment, when we picked up the car from the valet, he gave me back the fob, I walked to the trunk and pushed the button on the car to open and the damn alarm started blaring. I then tried to turn it off via the fob with no luck. The handles were in but finally I pushed the handle and they popped out and the siren stopped. So much for our glamorous departure. 😳

Anyway, very enjoyable trip, keeping up with traffic @ 90 mostly. Used 50% of the battery for 160 miles but totally worth it when you know you have more range than you need. It's sooo quick and smoooth!!!
I'm also interested how you can switch out of HA back to ACC if anyone knows.
HA for me was constantly drifting toward trucks in the right lane, then fighting me when I wanted to give them more room.

Use a long press on the lower left steering wheel button that activates Dream Drive. That will toggle between HA and ACC.

The same way you engage it (long press on the DreamDrive button). If its in HA, then long press will get you to ACC and vice versa.

I’ve experience this drift perception myself. However am I just not as good at centering myself in the lane as her? Perhaps I’m more biased to the left seat??

Yeah, I noticed this too. I was super nervous that it drove more on the right than I did, and gave them that feedback. But when I had my wife in the passenger seat, it was *always* centered within the lines. We, as humans, tend to bias left because of where our seat is.

It’s exactly this. The car is perfectly centered but we almost always drive biased to the left.

Apparently some other cars move over to the left side of the lane when passing a car. It’s a little unnerving. I’m sure they’ll tune it.

Yeah. It honestly centers much better than I do, but that feels... unnatural. :)

I'm hoping my regular pulling to the left will assure the ai that I've got my hands on the wheel

I was in an area with construction so the lanes were narrow. I’m going to give it another shot under more normal circumstances. I’m not a fan of lane departure either, so me not liking how the wheel responds when you override is not a criticism of the system. The ACC is pretty good. Perhaps I can warm up to HA with some more use.

I feel that I'm actually getting some long overdue feedback on inefficiencies or inaccuracies in how I drive. Turns out I am regularly off center in my lane, often oversteer into turns and brake too early when approaching slowdowns.

One thing I certainly observed with 2.0.24 was the responsiveness of the app if the phone internet is good. It would unlock car/frunk and remote start the climate setting almost instantaneously.

A side observation: I am currently away from my GT for about 2 months. When I departed for sunny climes, I had 350 miles indicated on the display. Prior to installing all OTAs (2.0.24) the battery was losing about 10 miles a day (via my Lucid phone app). After the updates it currently is losing about 3-4 miles a day. The car is parked in a relatively warm garage. A nice improvement for people that need to leave the car for a few weeks/months...bad news is I haven't driven the car since the new 2.0 OTAs! I am excited to experience the new stuff.

Make sure your car's battery stay above 5%.

Since updating to 2.0.24 my iPhone goes silent every time I leave and return to the car, even if it’s only for a few minutes. Both the car and phone indicate that it is connected via Bluetooth, and they both show the media playing. But no matter how high I set the volume on the phone and the car, there is no sound. Turning Bluetooth off and on in the car doesn’t fix the problem. The only solution I’ve found is to shut down and restart the phone. Then it works, but only until I leave the car again.

Has anyone else experienced this, and is there a fix?

Maybe turn Bluetooth off on the phone for a moment?

Another weird bug- since getting 2.0.24, we've had intermittent failures of the cameras. Valet card reset (multiple times) didn't do the trick, and yesterday switching profiles seemed to make it work. But today, it was off again (pilot panel keeps trying to load, upper screen says 'unavailable'). CS is aware, and they'll look into it while it's in the shop this week.

Had this happen once. Un/Fortunately it fixed itself before my service appointment

Yes, that does work. But it’s certainly not a convenient fix for an annoying big. Every time I get out of the car and get back in, I have to get out my phone, turn off Bluetooth, wait a minute, turn it back on, click on the Lucid device in the Bluetooth list to reconnect and then restart whatever I was listening to on my phone.

Version 2.0 brought many useful improvements, but this was a flub. Without CarPlay, I rely completely on my phone via Bluetooth for audio. So this problem irritates me several times a day. I hope Lucid is watching and issues a fix for it soon.
