What would you like to see from the Lucid mobile app?

Couldn’t agree more! Just back from Denver trip to Cle Elum Wa home.
We got into trouble twice - Low battery warning and with an inoperative navigator, having Newark Customer Service leading us ‘by the hand’ to closest charging station. First was from Provo UT ‘over the hill’ to Green River. Regen worked on descent but Green River significantly higher than Provo so ‘comfortable’ margin at Provo quickly melted into negative margin and not sufficiently recaptured.

I would like the iPhone app to display the current version number of the CAR software. That would allow me to know that the update completed correctly.

I think it is nice to have mobile app to have same theme selection like in the car. We can certainly use more Serenity on the mobile app and this forum.

I think it would be cool if the app theme matched the current theme in the car, and if it could be changed from the app. I also wish the car could automatically change that theme either by weather conditions or time of day.

Please introduce Terminator theme when ADAS and Dream Drive Pro gets fully Level-2 and enter Level-3 development. We can use some liquid metal look in our Air cabin. 🤖

For fun I would like to see more ambient themes.

mobile app suggestion

A button in mobile app Home Screen to open all windows or close all windows like other brands of car with fob. It is great for cooling or close all neglected open windows.

Mobile app suggestion

On shield information screen, please list trip meters/efficiency in addition to just odometer. This is good for tracking car status remotely.

  1. What version software is on my car (if it's already there, please let me know where).
  2. Vent windows
  3. A wake button, since opening the app doesn't always wake up the car from sleep
  4. Scheduled climate

It doesn't? It does for me. Sometimes takes the 30 seconds though...
For what ever reason, if I don't drive my car for a day, it stay in sleep, I can go to climate and turn on the AC and that will trigger the app to wake the car up.

Doesn't your app saying "waking up...this may take 30 seconds" when you first load it?

No always, sometimes, I will leave it on the app and place my phone on the table and wait and it does not wake.

I’m not near my car now, but, as I recall, if you please the “gear” button at the bottom of the pilot panel, you’ll see your current software version.

Yes, that is correct. I would like that info on the phone app too.

I'd like to be able to "schedule" multiple events of "precondition the car for driving/charging at hh:mm on ddd" (with the most common being sometime in the next 24 hours).... then the app can figure out when to wake the car and start up the BMS to precondition the car... and, if it is to drive, it should allow me to set a target interior temperature range (let it figure out if it needs to heat or cool for those days when it is cold outside but there is lots of solar heating going on) to reach at the point in time... with that on a hot day when I'm off on a long bike ride I can set an expectation of when I'll be back to the car and have it ready to go home, along with an optional DCFC charging session on the way home. No need to wake the car until the app decides it is time to start the preconditioning (be that for BMS, to drive, or interior environmentals).

Waking the car takes forever. If you are walking up to the car and want to open the trunk or frunk, its way too slow. The Tesla up works right away every time for me. Alsmot as if I have the fob in my hand

I started to use the phone rather than the FOB. What happens almost every time is that as I approach the car the car will not unlock unless I tap the phone and then the car unlocks. Not ideal.

sorry to clarify, I find the phone app takes too long to wake up the car. I find it isn't useable as a fob replacement, unlike the Tesla

I’m hoping the mobile key issues become a thing of the past when Lucid manages to have the OS in standby not going to sleep all the time.

If you’re running things like AC when not in the car the mobile key works all the time for me. It’s when the car has gone to sleep that it’s hit or miss when approaching the car that it will unlock. For now though, pushing in on the handle unlocks it 100% so it’s definitely improving for me at least.
