3.0 on Air

Those who have the new update installed, have you guys noticed increase in phantom drain? I was at 77% last night when I parked the card around 8:30 PM PT. I just got in my car at 10:50AM PT and it's currently at 73%. My usual is about 1% overnight.
I lost zero percent SOC overnight last night. Something is different about what you are seeing.

So far I see less than 1% overnight through HA

I wonder if it has to do something with passive unlock setting. My office where I charge my phone overnight is right above my garage and usually I get the Passive Unlock is temporarily disabled notice after it does it so many times and the car sleeps rest of the night. Wonder if just kept going last night...

Another thing I noticed this morning, if you use AA, you get a zoom out function on the bottom right corner. When I click it now, it just hides the cockpit standard menu but doesn't make the AA screen full window. Wonder in the future if AA expands to the full cockpit window real estate? Does it work for anyone else to get AA full window when you click on it?

Has everybody who has received this been on WiFi? I wonder if they’re still prioritizing it for those. Normally not an issue for me, but my car is at an airport parking lot this week

I wasn't on wifi when i got notified or downloaded the update.

Just got this in an email about 30 minutes ago. No go for CCCv1 folks. I guess it's time to upgrade if you want to enjoy 3.0 aka 2.11. Now that brings a question. Would that implicate warranty for people who don't upgrade and update is "available". Nice way to get additional $1000 to drive revenue but on the other hand Lucid just created additional complexity for themselves maintaining different versions of UI for existing Air owners based on CCC version. I am sure that was concious decision to drive revenue but it's a software maintance nightmare.

Actually it’s very easy
You fork the development chain and no more changes to old hw except security and safety. No enhancements, no new features.
Cccv2 keeps moving forward until it hits a roadblock and a decision point is reached

I saw this sometime ago to check for cccv2.

  • Wi-Fi Network Name:Connect to CarPlay or Android Auto and check the advertised Wi-Fi network name on your phone or screen.
    • If it is named "Lucid AP XXX," you have CCCv2 hardware.
    • If it is named "Android AP XXX," you have CCCv1 hardware. [1]
  • Spotify Connected Device:Open the Spotify app on another computer or phone while logged into the same account playing in the car. Check the "currently playing device" name.
    • If it shows "cccv2," you have the updated hardware.
    • If it shows "Lucid Air," it typically indicates the older CCCv1 system. [1]
I can confirm I just received notification of the software update. Mine is a May 2024 (Pure) build. Hoping this update is what I need to convince my wife to stay with Lucid.

Is there any user manual or youtube clip on how to use the new UI? Or the owners have to figure everything out themselves?

I got the brake+mic+X reboot to finally work. I had to hold it for over a minute versus the usual ~20 seconds. I wonder if there's an infotainment reboot on the new update because the logo reboot doesn't work for me yet. I lose audio or AA connection after some charging sessions and the logo reset was usually the fix for me.
1. That little bit of information might have been good to know ahead of my multiple attempts to reset.
2. Why??!! Isn’t 20 seconds enough to confirm that you want a soft reset?
3. Which logo were you using to try to reboot? Is it the one under Vehicle -> about vehicle? Did you hold that for a minute too🤡

Given the frequency that I had to soft reset the previous infortainment system, I really don’t want it to be much harder to do.

Ok, just tried “mic”+”X”+ “brake” for almost 2 minutes without success… How to Gravity owners reboot their cars?

This is literally how 95% of carmakers work. The newer model year is basically the same software foundation as the previous model year with more compute and more features. Instead of charging $1000 though they want you to buy a whole new car.

What are you hoping for in this update that will convince your wife to stay with Lucid?

Seriously. The amount of whining about needing to pay nearly 1k to get the new features across the multiple threads on this update.

To be real, were this most car companies, Lucid would have told you to buy a new car to get the latest and greatest, and they would not be wrong for it. Technology needs to advance to be compelling, and that means moving on. The fact that they even have a backwards compatible hardware update for these cars that can be thrown in relatively easily and relatively cheaply is kind of unheard of.

Absolutely. I just paid $4K for an equivalent CPU upgrade on our Volvo EV, just to have faster UX response and fewer hangs. No new features.

Lucid is giving customers an outright gift by charging under $1K, if they choose to upgrade.

The same logo in about in settings. Held it for over a minute multiple times and nothing.

On the brake+mic+X, I got it to work by pressing the brake first, then mic+X buttons at the same time, and holding all 3 for over a minute. Just tried it again, and it took 1 min 16 secs before the screens started shutting off to reboot. As I mentioned previously, it took about 20 seconds the few times I had to do it. The logo reset usually fixed my issues most of the time so I'm hoping it exists under the new UI.
