My truck has them up on the A pillar, slightly more than an arm's reach away. Might be why I appreciated Gravity having them where they belong.
 
Oh i never driven a Tesla to be honest, not even as passenger. so wouldnt know that.

While I had mine in for service they replaced both power struts under warranty and adjusted the stops. Has anyone tried adjusting the stops? Those are the round pads that can be turned to adjust height when the lid is closed. BTW, The frunk opens first time for me, it does however do a double clutch, meaning it opens a litlle and then opens fully.

Thats what my golf buddy calls them, he was very happy when I transitioned from the MS to the Gravity. I would like to believe thats not a statement about my driving but who knows😎

Off topic, but for 10 months and three service visits my drunk required double open. Then when the OTA came out with hands free driving, my frunk worked.

Last year a mobile tech swore it was a software issue and explained it to me. Perhaps that’s what it was. Or it was a gremlin that was scared off by an OTA.
 
It’s been so long I can’t remember if I’ve said this one already (and am too lazy to search) but glad to see the thread is alive again.

The glove compartment is awesome. It’s absolutely cavernous. My daughter had her laptop and iPad and my other daughter had her laptop and a bunch of random stuff and I didn’t want to leave it out while we were parked in a garage and my frunk was full (long story). It all fit easily in that glove compartment. Which really should be called a closet or storage shed.
 
I will say that a month or so ago, the frunk setup with seat cushion, cup holders and 12v outlet was an absolute smash at my Phillies tailgate
Had the instapot plugged in on a folding table next to the car so the cowboy queso dip stayed warm and gooey and guests kept taking turns sitting on the cushion with their adult beverages

it was a lot of fun

One of the things that gives me warm and fuzzies is how nice the UI elements look, especially the DD visualization. It really makes the car feel premium compared to the "that only an engineer could love" visualization on my Polestar and the "accurate and clean, but visually basic" visualization I had on my Tesla. It's like they relaid the highway lines in matte gold in lieu of a red carpet.

Sorry, have to disagree strongly here. The DD visualization on Lucid looks “clean” but that’s because it doesn’t appear to actively map out or “see” the road. It’s like the old school video game overlay.

Tesla may not look as clean, but its mapping everything in real time so you see it add turn lanes, or actually see dotted versus solid lines (Lucid does this sometimes, but not always) and Tesla and Rivian will show you cross traffic, etc. Lucid probably “sees” this just is not showing it. I won’t continue because I whined about it already in a previous post.

Biggest issue - the DD visualization should be on 100% of the time like it is in Tesla and Rivian. It’s very helpful - particularly for blind spots - but the visualization isn’t used unless you’ve got DD engaged.
 
I'm with him on the look of the UI elements. The on-screen visuals generally match the overall aesthetic of the interior, California modern as they say. Some parts need to work better, as you say, but the look of it is quite nice.

One part I'd like to look better is the music display. What's there is functional, but I think a larger album art and simple track list would look better.

And what happened to the track numbers? And I love random play since I have very large play lists.

If you reread my post I specifically said that I liked how "nice" the UI elements "look". I never claimed they were accurate, and in fact I pointed out that accuracy was one of the aspects of the Tesla visualization. If we were discussing the accuracy then I would agree that I would like to see it be more accurate. But, when we're talking aesthetics, which is specifically what I was mentioning, nothing beats Lucid here.

To be clear, accuracy is more useful, absolutely. But, aesthetics are an independent and orthogonal trait to appreciate (or not).

Fair point. I am generally big on UI but in this case, I could care less what the DD graphic looks like and more about whether it’s useful. It’s almost as if I’d trust the DD visualization more if it didn’t look so clean. 🤷‍♂️Regardless, I do enjoy the general Gravity UI.
