As I posted earlier, after a several day hiatus from problems, the key fob malfunction returned to our newer Gravity on Sunday (2 days ago). Tonight the failure-to-lock problem also returned.

We went to the grocery store after dinner. We got home, unloaded the car into a cart, then went into the house to unpack the cart. I put the key fob in its usual place in my office, well away from the car. When I returned the empty cart to the garage I found the car still powered up with the doors unlocked and the headlights and taillights on. It had been some minutes since we left it.

Submitted to swfeedback, a few days ago the blind spot cameras did not show up on turns. Second time on this SW version.

First time seemed related to weather, condensation from cold temp, but this was not. The only reason/cause I can think of was unintentionally leaving creature mode overnight. Fixed on a hard reset after a highway commute.

And +1 to the key fob gremlins. It's not 100% reliable yet, and I have had to replace a fresh battery too. Interested to see how paak goes.

I'm pretty sure it's transient. At least from my experience many issues come and go. Key fob is the biggest example for me. 1 month no issues, 1-click and the car responds. Then followed by 2 months of struggle, pressing door handle doesn't work, mashing unlock button requires 15+ tries, opening the hood with key fob might take a minute. Soft/hard reboot, new batteries, rebooting key fobs doesn't work. Then after some time it just goes away again like nothing happened. If it followed some action from Lucid (e.g. software update) I would be more confident it's fixed, otherwise it's probably temporary good days for your cars. But I'll be very happy to be wrong. I hope it's fixed for you.

My issues with the FOB and locking/unlocking functionality of the vehicle is very similar to this. I had a month where everything worked perfectly. Then several weeks where the FOBs almost never worked and I had to resort to using the key card for access. Battery changes didn't make any difference. Out of the blue, everything started working normally again. A week or two later I found myself with the FOBs being very inconsistent again and the car sometimes not locking when I'd walk away. At the moment, the trunk and frunk won't open in response to FOB button presses. In the past, they've worked just fine. A new thing that's also started to happen is sometimes the FOB will unlock the vehicle, but then I get into the car and it can't detect the FOB and won't allow me to shift into drive. I have to get out of the car, lock the car with the keycard (no response to FOB), and then use the keycard to unlock the car and enable to the ability to drive.

I love driving the Gravity but I would be lying if I said not these issues with the car not unlocking, trunk not unlocking, car not locking when left, trunk/frunk not responding on FOB and needing to enter vehicle to open on screen, and being unable to drive after getting in are not starting to wear on me. They're minor inconveniences, but the inconsistency and unpredictably are bothersome. It's also pretty hard to recommend a vehicle to someone when they go to get into it with you and the first thing you have to discuss is that half the time you can't easily get into the vehicle...

FYI, my software is up to date, as is my FOB software. Battery changes in the FOBs make no difference, neither do reboots of the vehicle. Lucid mobile service has come once to inspect my FOBs and everything was "operating within spec". So I don't know what else to do about it at this point.

My rear hatch opened in the garage after I parked the car and went into the house. I got notification on the Lucid app that it was open. I found it half-way open pressed against the garage door. Has anyone had this happen to them?

Yup.

Unfortunately nobody noticed until the wife entered the garage from the house, hit the door opener, and the inside struts & hinges of the sectional door caught on the tailgate, which had been pressed against the inner door surface. Bad crunching sound, panic & horror ensued.

Thankfully it's a relatively new door motor that shuts off when it hits resistance. Damage extremely minor -- just a 1/8" doink on the bottom edge of the tailgate.

I'd blamed myself for careless fob-pocketry, seems easy to auto-pip a button.

But now I'm off the hook. I blame a malevolent software gremlin.

If you open the trunk or the back doors for more than X amount(don't know exact amount) or you go past the usual auto lock distance with the fob and with those doors open the auto lock will not occur and the car will stay unlocked for 10 minutes after you close said doors.

Yup.

Yup Yup, I am constantly trying to lock or unlock with the fob upside down resulting in door opening if held too long.
I'm an old dog so I installed this kids pool toy on the door. On a California door it looks like it will also prevent damage when closing the garage door without first closing the car trunk. I haven't 'tested" that yet

While we did open the rear hatch to unload groceries in the most recent incident, we have done that numerous times and still had the car lock automatically shortly after we were in the house. And it has never happened in our older Gravity, even though we have taken it on many, many grocery runs in the almost 11 months we've had it.

First time experiencing this issue. HUD kept going haywire with the brightness. It was really distracting and dangerous to drive with on. I had to turn it off.

Ok, good to know. I've refilled it a couple times now just based on the flow getting lower but this time it seemed to be totally out as nothing was coming out of the nozzles. I didn't get any other message about the fluid being low though.

Now this is for the Air but I did verify the low washer fluid message and icon that pops up. This is before it's totally empty.

Apologies if this was covered already. I picked up my GGT last week so it already had the 3.5.1 update. When I finally used Android Auto, Spotify would always randomly pause. It happens whether or not the native NAV is being used. I'm trying to isolate when it happens. Anyone else experience this? Its more of an annoyance than anything else...

Same thing here. I tried using AA recently and I noticed that my Spotify would pause, I press play, and moments later pause again. This cycle happens a couple of times but eventually it would let it play for a 5-10 minutes and then it would again repeatedly pause the music. Happens whether I use build-in Spotify in the car or through AA/phone - same issue. I didn't try removing and re-adding my phone yet so I might try that.

While we did open the rear hatch to unload groceries in the most recent incident, we have done that numerous times and still had the car lock automatically shortly after we were in the house. And it has never happened in our older Gravity, even though we have taken it on many, many grocery runs in the almost 11 months we've had it.

My Gravity is doing the same thing as yours, randomly, about 10% to 20% of the times the keyfob walking away is not registering and the car stay unlocked.
Here is the best part, after a couple of minutes I get mobile app notification "your car is still unlocked, tap here to lock it".
I find this behavior hilarious, the car and/or the app somehow figures out that things didn't go as expected, yet it wants my manual confirmation on how to proceed.
Somehow the car thinks that keyfob was left inside the car, even though it's not possible to communicate with it anymore.

I also had another very unpleasant experience today.
I actually forgot the keyfob inside the car last night and didn't see mobile app alerts as it was very late and my phone went to silent mode.
This morning I went to drive and realized the keyfob was in the car, but the car eventually locked itself and went to sleep. I touched the driver door handle, it popped open and I got inside, while screens booted up seemingly normal. The moment I touched the brake pedal I got "key not detected" message and chime, followed by a series of 5-6 chimes every second with messages informing of every system failure imaginable, they were coming so quickly that I couldn't read them fast enough - drive system, holding mode, steering, something rear something, etc. I swear, I wouldn't be surprised if there was a message of all 4 wheels falling off. Obviously it would not switch to drive mode.
I had to exit far away for it to lock and turn off, then come back and do a reboot to clear all the warnings.
Can't wait for the next update...

I’ve had similar behavior when leaving the key in car overnight. I chalk it up to “If a passerby sees the key and tries to steal the car, it won’t start unless they get out, walk away and re-start the walk up process.” I have no idea - but, if I’m stupid enough to leave a key in a car that someone can unlock, I’m willing to allow the car to act just as stupid and not start without me at least trying to bring it back to a normal “walk up and start the car”

So, it’s a security feature, scare the thief with system fault messages, so they think the car is broken and worthless, good job Lucid!

I’ve noticed on this gravity is the sun is hitting a sensor in the morning it tends to disable the Dream Drive and says schedule service. Resets after next drive cycle.

Can't wait for the next update...

I'm dreading it like the plague. If not doing it didn't void the warranty, I would just try to live with the evils the last update brought and forgo opening another Pandora's box.

I have zero confidence in the software team's ability to release an update without serious new bugs.
