My Gravity unlocked an Easter Egg driving game, sitting parked in the garage I still get the moving road graphics, so I can pretend to be driving

Actually, we just got the weird interior lighting thing where part of the light strip turned white and then disappeared for the rest of the drive today, lol

And it returned to our older Gravity tonight after a hiatus of at least a couple of weeks.

Oh, well, it was good while it lasted.

I remember Emad saying that all these issues were totally eradicated after 3.5.1 was released. So in their minds we're probably all lying about this...

Haha... I've been wanting to have these graphics in real life when driving. So unfair that only you get to have them! (even if not actually driving)

Yes.

But the frequency with which we have to reboot all three of our Lucids (a need that has just recently returned to our Air, too) is aggravating and alarming. Any time I'm stacking appointments for the day's running around I now add 5 minutes at each stop to allow for trying to get the car road ready.

Yesterday I was washing the newer Gravity to get it ready to pick up my brother and spouse at the airport Monday. And its failure to open and close the rear hatch suddenly returned. I've now decided to take another car to the airport as I don't want to be standing at the pick-up curb while I'm struggling to get the damn hatch to open or close for luggage.

For all the hype about Emad Dlala taking over the software effort, I'm really not seeing anything in the way of improvement.

I’m not disputing your experience, but my point was I normally wouldn’t have noticed a lightstrip unless I’d read this forum. And I wouldn’t have rebooted for just a lightstrip. We rarely have to reboot ours anymore though it does happen.

Many of the OTA's and maybe even most of the next few are still from previously. May start seeing his influence slowly but overall a huge org change and hopefully culture change for the better would take at least a year or more.

That's time they don't have unless they are willing to delay the Cosmos launch . . . something they were not willing to do to get the Gravity right. In teasing the Cosmos now and creating expectations of first delivery dates, I think they're reaching for a cyanide capsule thinking it's a Tylenol.

I suspect you saw that bright white strip at power up when the rest of the Vibe lighting was also on before putting the car in gear. That's what happened yesterday in our older Gravity in mid-afternoon.

But I doubt you could have failed to notice it at night when the rest of the dashboard strip turned off upon going into gear and that strip glowed bright white at full intensity while the door panel strips were at low intensity on a different color.

I guess they will focus in house resources on Cosmos while wrapping up Gravity work and bug fixes

It was night, but it wasn’t particularly bright. We do keep the vibe lighting at full power though, generally, even at night.

I've seen all sorts of variances of this malfunction: sometimes about an 18" strip is on while the rest of the dashboard strip is off; sometimes a few inches in the center of the affected strip will be off; sometimes the errant strip will be white and sometimes the color to which the system is set; sometimes it's at full intensity and sometimes not; sometimes the problem occurs at start up, sometimes during a drive; sometimes a reboot will resolve it, but usually not; it most often happens in the older Gravity but occasionally in the newer . . . .

But I will never buy another one if I find any reliable indication they are now moving on in their priorities.

I may have said it a bit too casually.

I don't mean to downplay your issues nor all of our open issues. Just that from pure SW pov, the heavy part of the SW development for Cosmos should've started some time ago (prototyping, design, arch, etc) and should be in full swing now with final spec'd parts coming together for first pre-production vehicles coming online. Same idea for Gravity, main SW development should be some significant amount of time before first deliveries. So right now the SW development phase for Gravity should be "lesser focus" in that it is mainly 1. bug fixing (yes many big bugs) and 2. implementing/improving the rest of the promised features (which seems may be moving to not in-house for the HUD case).

A lot depends on how their org is run, but me saying they are focusing on Cosmos (just my personal guess!) doesn't mean they aren't still working on Gravity features, debugging, and have adequate resources allocated to it.

Well, today we got yet another variant in the dashboard VIBE misbehavior. A bit more than the right half of the LED strip (longer than the usual malfunctioning part) was glowing in an orange color while the rest of the strip was glowing in a blue tint. Colorful, but a bit tacky.

What do you consider as working well? Mine are still crap, doesn't speed up when rain is pouring hard, so I have to distract myself on manual adjustment while driving with already limited view due to water all over the windshield.
