Lucid Air Touring
Anyone had to wait more than two weeks to get thier car back from a service?? So frustrating!!!!!

Having a recall repaired on my Air & they told me 10-12 days. Frankly more than 5 working days unless there are some very serious issues is not acceptable. I left Polestar for that reason

I did in December, Lucid provided a loaner so it was not big deal. My Gravity was in to correct a few post delivery items and it came back with everything resolved. I thought the service at my SC was great!

It is taking time because they are short on Techs and volume with all the Gravity issues is way up. My Air has been in for two weeks but I also have a loaner.

My Air Pure AWD has been in for just over a week for its two-year service, but I received an Air loaner as well, so minimal day-to-day difference.

Yes, they are providing me w/ a rental. However I have get extra insurance to cover some details. Lucid just recently laid off a fair amount of their workforce & yes they all say they don’t have enough technichans. It would seem to me if you’re going to mass produce vehicles, then hire & train people to service them.

My car is approaching 3 weeks at BH service center for AC compressor issue. The car didn't move from parking for the first two weeks as they told me that there were 64 work orders ahead of me. It's been fun driving around the new Porsche Maccan that I got from Enterprise!

This is really bad news and terrible PR for Lucid. Public forums are full of similar complaints, and that is bound to discourage some people from the brand. I also heard from a friend who just took delivery of a new car and had a miserable experience, including a vehicle that had not even been properly detailed.

To be fair, I have had good results with the Beverly Hills service team over the life of my lease. But it is a very small service operation, and with more Lucids on the road now, plus the added strain of the Gravity rollout, they seem overwhelmed.

I love my 2023Air --and have seriously been considering getting another one when my lease is up in September, but stories like these definitely give me pause. They need to get better service resources or this could doom the brand further......

What extra insurance?

I agree on the rest; the service layoffs hit hard and seems like an unnecessary “own goal” since they have to hire them now.

State Farms doesn’t cover, wheels & tires

Over the summer & early Fall, I waited the better part of a month for work to start on my car (it was not a delay tied to parts) as Tyson's was pretty buried.

The recall repair - is it for a Gravity seat weld issue?

I really think they could change their process, and just send mobile techs around to do the full diagnosis on the cars instead of taking them in and sitting there for 2 weeks. Then they can order parts and work on things that are really broken during the wait before actually taking the cars in.

As long as they give you a loaner, no big deal. Understand it’s a small company. They kept my car 2 weeks, got a loaner, I let them take their time.

Depends, they not have tools to fully diagnose. I would rather they do it properly at the service center.

I'm doing Lucid a solid and rotating my own tires, changing my own (various coin) batteries, and managing brake fluid exchanges. I've been doing my own maintenance for decades and I really enjoy the time spent.

Haha, okay fair, but we are different people. I have literally never desired to buy wheel and tire insurance except for when I was in Iceland.

Noted, though!

I don't get loaners - they pay for a rental, but I spend the entire rental period trying to explain to family, neighbors and friends the difference between being an early adopter and just bat-shit crazy ...
