Oh, and with the Gravity, unfortunately, it’s hard to tell right now what are hardware or software problems.

That's where I am with the cameras. Hopefully just software providing poor quality rendering. Hard to believe they chose to build the Gravity with low res cameras salvaged from old Nokia phones.

Just got back from running an errand and I was silently rumiating and complaining about the cameras. I can deal with the poor quality during the day, but at night they become unusable if it is dark, just when you need them the most, specially the back up one.

This car reminds me of a crazy ex I had. Irresistible and also unstable.

ed the app only without unlocking the car and used the app to adjust the ride height…and it worked

Interesting. Ride height is the one part of the app that has never worked for me. Whether I am standing next to car or not, always says I am too far.

As for all the alerts. I think someone else has mentioned this before, but given all the various manufacturers and firmware for parts like sensors, dynamic handling, etc, it seems like it’s been a challenge for Lucid to integrate them all so when one really throws an “alert” the car knows it’s legit versus not. No idea how this works, just know most of the alerts I’ve gotten since I’ve had the car were false alarms (thank goodness).

But the car never fails to remind me the software updated successfully every time I get in!

I agree. This is my biggest complaint about the car at the moment; it’s not a “bug,” but it definitely needs improvement. Luckily, upping the contrast should be a relatively easy fix.

Did you try just turning the WiFi off? Do I need to actually “forget” the WiFi? Seems extreme, but willing to try!

I don't know, I've never had the Gravity join any wifi so I'm not sure if it works if you just turn it off.

Not to diminish the problems with Gravity but this simply is not true. The initial Air roll out was a disaster with supply constraints on DE and Santa Cruz carpet. Enormous panel gaps, pieces missing glue from the factory, misalignment between trunk and body due to trunk curing process, trunk rubbing on bumper, battery replacmente and shock and tilt alarms going off during level 2 charging. My Air was in for service once a month for the first 10 months I owned. My Gravity has only a few problems that I expect will be fully resolved at my first service.

Its fair to say the Air set a rather low bar, but it is not correct to say that Gravity is worse.

My experience exactly. Yes the air launch was much rockier , not even close to the gravity launch

Tonight we were driving our older Gravity through a parking lot lane lined by parked cars on both sides. None of those cars were occupied or moving, and none of their lights were on. It was angle-in, one-direction parking, so we were driving right down the middle of the lane. Several times our Gravity gave a "right cross traffic" warning and slammed on the brakes. We finally had to disengage the feature to get out of the lot.

We've been in that parking lot frequently with our Air and several times with the Gravity but have never had this problem before.

I've never had any issues with DreamDrive Pro (DDP), until today.
It was a brief moment of DDP not being available.

Typically when I have adaptive cruise control (acc) on and I need to pass a slower car, I try to change lanes in time to avoid acc slowing the speed because of the close proximity of the car I'm passing. When that strategy is not possible (i.e. car in next lane), I put my foot on the accelerator to match the current speed set through acc and then disengage acc. This avoids a sudden drop in speed because acc has been disengaged. I then manually speed up to make the pass, return to right lane and reengage acc.

Today, because the first strategy mentioned above and the speed I had acc set at, a car behind me in the passing lane was approaching at a fast rate of speed. So, instead of maintaining the acc speed to make the pass, I accelerated to make the pass, but did not disengage acc. I basically did an acc override as mentioned in the owner's manual. After making the pass and returning to the right lane, I let off the accelerator to allow acc to resume, as the owner's manual says. However, acc did not resume. I remembered from the manual that if acc is overridden for more than 60 seconds, it will disengage.

So, I pressed the DD button to reengage DD and the message "Dream Drive Unavailable" appeared followed by a brief sensor warning message and a Lane Departure Alert warning indicator. I continued manually controlling my speed and after about another minute or so, the warning indicator went away and DD functionality returned.

Bascially the override of acc by accelerating and not manually disengaging DD seemed to throw DD off.
I'm wondering if the override of acc also makes acc unavailble for a short period of time.

No reoccurence for the rest of the drive.
Rush hour traffic was starting, so I headed home.
I'll test again tomorrow.

Also limited experience with this but from what I remember when this happened to me once the steering wheel icon indicating that DDP is available disappeared for a bit after I overrode the speed. It might be more noticeable with the HUD as the DDP icon is right there in front of you, you'll see the icon disappear under 30MPH too as that's the minimum speed you can activate it.

That's weird - that is my main method of accelerating when in Drive Assist; I don't normally hit the brake because I don't want to have to re-set the system.

I didn't notice if the steering wheel icon disappeared. I was focused on making the pass. I'll try to test today.

Got a new error yesterday and it’s amazing…

“HUD AR is limited” - or something like that. Came up 3-4 times yesterday. Here’s the thing. I don’t even have a HUD! So, of course it’s limited! Never got that warning before.

Does make me wonder if it’s just related to a camera or sensor being blocked but, again, shouldn’t even be an option for a warning in a car without a HUD…

Went for another drive today to test ACC.

Upon entering the car, after unlocking, the message "Dream Drive limited. Schedule service" brielfy appears on the left cockpit screen.
The Lane Departure warning indicator and another indicator appear. Should have taken a picture.
I do a hard reboot; warning indicators remain.
The warning indicators remain while the car is in reverse.
Once in drive, the indicators go away and never appeared again.

ACC is slow to engage; unresponsive button.
Unresponsive after pressing button two more times, then engages.
Same with disengaging; slow response.

Response time improves as I drive.
I keep ACC engaged, accelerate above set speed, decelerate to set speed, and let ACC resume; no warnings/messages.
I repeat the engage, accelerate, and decelerate cycle several times; no warnings/messages.

After the first 5 or so miles, everything seems fine.
Drove a total of 70 miles; no issues after the first 5.

Not sure what happened yesterday, but the slow buttons response today, that improved, seems to indicate more of a software issue than hardware.
However, the software seemed to adjust/correct while driving.

On a side note: driving this thing 70 miles feels like driving 20 miles.
Turn on the music, let ACC do its thing, and the system name of DreamDrive definitely seems appropriate.
Truly a dream to drive.

Interesting DD issue(quirk ,by design?) today.

GGT with DDPremium, cruising around 40mph on Palos Verdes South, a twisty, hilly, well marked and paint striped road with a minor landslide area that changes nearly daily with the rains. DD is performing well scaring the c--p out of me as it ignores suggested speed on curves. ( Dam things drives like I do! ) Within about a mile of the slide area I change the ride height from Standard to High in anticipation of bumps, cracks and a spot known as the ski jump. About 1 second after the height change DD quits with all manner of lane departure, take control and sensor blocked warnings, too many to count. I keep driving and maybe 30 seconds later all warnings turn off and I can use DD again.

I'm guessing the height change confused the sensors with the lines being in the wrong place and then after a while figured out the new view?

Yes, I have had this happen. Drive Assist does not like to be interrupted to much.

I have had the variable ACC button issues. I would say ACC engages 70% of the time with one push. 20% of the time it is finicky and takes a double tap to engage. Then 10% of the time, it will not engage at all. Yes, I have made sure that steering wheel icon is displayed on dash.

Yes, I have had this happen. Drive Assist does not like to be interrupted to much.

Until yesterday, interrupting ACC was not an issue.
After some additional driving today and a reset, ACC seems fine with interruptions.

Until yesterday ACC engage 100% of the time for me.
After additional driving and a reset today, the engagement consistency has returned.

Hm , Live View still doesn't work for me. I tried turning off WiFi on the phone, leaving only cell connection on, didn't help. Gravity has been on 3.3.20 for almost a month now, but both on older and current software versions live view never worked for me. Using iPhone here and the latest version of lucid app (2.11). Does it matter if the vehicle is connected to the WiFi or not?

Try signing out of your lucid app account, close/reopen the app, then log in again. Worked for me occasionally.
