Software 3.3.20 Update

Did this update break Tesla charging for anyone?

I couldn't get the car to charge at any of the local Tesla super chargers this morning. I did a two beep reboot too. Ended up going to a EA charger and plug and charge worked fine.

So, that warning is something I’ve gotten since 3.3.9 BUT, I only get it a) when NOT charging at an SC and b) when my Gravity FINISHES charging.

It’s odd. It stops charging when it gets to 80%, as I set it, and then it just gives that warning in car and app. It will then let better power go down and not reengage.

But…if I unplug and plug back in, error goes away and it charges back to 80%. Then error sometimes comes back.

Lucid really needs to implement this into their UI so drivers can upload their log immediately as they’re experiencing bugs.
There IS a way to do this in the phone app…I can’t remember how. It’s some sort of special tap somewhere in the app. But I think it sends app logs…

FWIW my vibes color is also never correct except for immediately after a reboot or if I manually turn it off and on again, and I don’t have .20 yet.
My vine color has been correct more often than not with 3.3.20. Odd. It’s usually wrong, but not always wrong like it was in prior versions.

Most annoying bug left (for me) is driver seat will not ever move to my profile position and does not move for easy entry/exit. Same with steering wheel.

Fob seems to be working ideally right now. Right up until I press “post reply” on this thread…🤣

A few observations from my early morning update yesterday morning prior to a 100 mile drive to San Diego and 100 miles back.
Installation of 3.3.20 went perfectly.
On the drive down to San Diego I noticed that the Air conditioning system was working better as the fans were not set on high but it surprised me that when I checked the settings the driver side was off so I activated the drivers climate control.
The Dream Drive Pro 2 driver assist was pretty much spot on and was easy to use.
The XM entertainment system noted that there was not connection when I started but it did connect and begin with in a half mile of the beginning of my drive
After arrival I left my key card in the car at a residence and locked the car with my phone.
2 hours later I returned and unlocked the car with my phone and entered and noticed that I needed to select my profile again as the GUEST profile was selected by default.
Parked the car at a restaurant for dinner and re entered the car and once again had to select my profile. (This time I did remove my Key Card)
Returned to my car and drove the 100 miles back home and found that I needed to select my profile again and during the drive noticed t hat the settings for the air conditioning were OFF for the driver side of the front of the vehicle. Seemed surprising.
I also noticed t hat the Dream Drive 2 Pro was not nearly as accurate and stable at night in terms of staying centered in the lane and did not help with lane changes. The cruise control aspect was perfect for the entire drive.
I will add that the system update absolutely made the vehicle interaction with my MUCH BETTER. Love the car, love the driving experience and love this update.
My GPS experience was outstanding. Specifically, the estimate of percentage of batter upon arrival at my destination was spot on for my first 100 mile drive that included traffic issues and the predicted percentage was actually 2% higher then the prediction when I arrived home after the next 100 mile leg with really minor traffic.
Bravo to the software team.
I would love the see my phone be able to act as a Key drive the car as well as Apple car play. Just excited for the next update.

Cell phone overheating could be due to phone case interfering with wireless charging, try putting the naked phone on the charger pad and see if it stops overheating.
Those pads never work great (in terms of overheating your phone). Same thing happens in my Volvo.

Homelink is supposed to open up the garage door automatically when you arrive and close after departure ( obviously). Mine does the opposite, so I have the auto disabled. Now a homelink motif magically appears with garage proximity, that I manually push and hey presto the door opens .( I have 5 garages in 3 different places and it works fine for all of them!)
After this latest update, anyone been able to get the automatic opening and closing thing to work ok?

Tesla has been accepting voice messages with a BUG REPORT and your description of what is wrong. I used to just press the mike and say BUG REPORT, tell a short message of what was wrong and then I would get a screen message thanking me for the report. I'm sure they just have AI listening and analyzing all the messages and categorizing them.

New Issue,

7 days ago my wife told me that her key fob was not recognized by the Gravity.

I removed the CR2450 Panasonic batter that came with Key Fob and measured 2.48 volts.

I replaced it with a new Energizer Cr 2450 Battery that measured 3.20 volts and all worked fine.

That was 7 days ago. My wife keeps her Key Fob in her purse (not in a Faraday Container)

Today the Key Fob post 3.3.20 update was not recognized by the Gravity so I removed the battery and measured it to find 2.78 volts after 7 days.

Why is the battery draining and do I need to have the Fob stored in a Faraday container in my wife's purse? Her previous car was a Tesla Model S FYI. Yep, she is not happy with my explanation.

ALSO, yesterday, I was the primary driver and the Key Fob was in her purse in the car for at least 3.5 hours not being used as the primary driver

Any help would be appreciated here.

Thanks

Phil

I just placed a second new Energizer Cr 2450 Battery that measured 3.20 volts and all worked fine.

Key Fob now works fine! 3.20 volts today

Sadly, my install of 3.3.20 just failed for the second time. It tried for almost 2 hours then failed the first time. I contacted customer care and they said they would have the OTA team put it again, but I never heard anything so after 24 hours I rebooted the car, re-connected to wifi, and about 2 hours later (this morning) it showed up again. I attempted the install, but again after 2 hours it failed and stays on 3.3.9. I didn't see the issue some people posted about it showing them on 3.1.0.

:(

what's the next step, a service center where they can do it the old fashioned way via a cable?

We are aware of this issue and we are working on an improvement for the next release. Thank you for your patience.

Great to see you present on these forums, Nick. The latest update seems to have taken care of many issues. We all look forward to continued software updates and stability for the Gravity, and hopefully much success for Lucid as the narrative around the software changes with time

It's 24/7 here. Going to send this to my boss ;-)
Nick are you able to confirm that the Sanctuary Videos will redownload after the update? A few posts about them missing after the update but then reappearing a few hours later...wondering of this is by design as mine are now missing (update completed an hour ago)?

Thanks
