Gravity SW update inbound...

Is the audio issue fixed when making calls? I’m uncertain if that was a software or hardware issue with the mic. I’ve read a few different thoughts on it. Thanks.

Also, Kyle’s video mentioned some kind of electronic box in the driver’s seat that be felt. I didn’t feel anything while test driving it but obv wasn’t a long drive. I also didn’t hear anything with the lights but it was during the day. Started in a dark mall parking lot however.

Is he nitpicking?

Don't jinx it! Otherwise next update going to break it [key fob operation] again LOL

We've got 3.3.9 plus the fob firmware update on our Gravity. We still get "key fob not detected" about half the time, even with the key in its designated holder in the front console. And shaking the fob as Lucid recommends doesn't resolve it.

I seriously do not get it. I got the car now more than a month, delivered with 3.3.5 and updated to 3.3.9 last week. Not ONCE have I seen this key error.

3.3.9 seems worse for me on the black screens or how long they take to load up in general. This was never a problem in 3.3.5 but now it can take like 5-10 seconds getting into the car that the screens show up. Which is funny because thats the shit it should fix in that update ...

“No problems” - actually happens. After 6 weeks and 2,600 miles with new Gravity GT, hmp10’s characterization holds true, everyone loves the dazzling “ride, handling, space, style, quietness, and sound system.” I’m not really sure what software glitches we’re all talking about. My only ones have been 1) the key fob, solved by changing out the battery but still carry around the card just in case, and 2) it takes two taps to open the frunk. Meanwhile, just an aside: DDPro on the highway is MUCH better than Tesla’s FSD on the highway - the Gravity has no peremptory lane changes, doesn’t lag, doesn’t tailgate, isn’t freaked out passing large trucks just moves over a bit. Only wish - why don’t they put a nice analog clock on the far left of the wide cockpit screen as an option selectable via the left steering wheel pad along with tire pressure, trip odometers, etc.
That's good to know re: better than FSD on highway. I have found it to be very good indeed, but lane detection suffers in early morning sunlight. Tesla Model X, S, and 3 that we had ALSO had the same issue, but maybe held on longer than GGT did? Excited to see how it evolves and eventually gets to hands free (which I am praying does not require any new hardware, re: nVidia collab).

Neither do I get it.

Our car that is doing this is the first Gravity we received back in late June. Our newer Gravity (that was recently wrecked) was built about three months later and had the fob error considerably less often, although still occasionally.

The mobile tech told me the first Gravity did not have the front console wiring/antenna problem that some early Gravities had, and the 3.3.9 firmware update should have resolved the errors as it did in some other cars.

But it's as with everything else about these Gravity software errors: which ones occur and how often varies widely from car to car. Some cars with identical hardware and software are apparently relatively problem-free, and others (such as both of ours) are bedeviled by an endless array of software problems.

We're soon to take delivery of a third Gravity, this one built about three months after the second one. It will be interesting to see how its software behaves.

look at all of you ADD folks who can't handle content longer than a TikTok video ;)

Yeah, but some of Conner's videos are longer than some TV miniseries.

I had that happen for a day or so after updating to 3.3.9.
Since then it's done better than with 3.3.5.

I am willing to bet that test-drive Gravitys have an old, but known and stable software version.

I've test-driven 3 times, for total of about 100 minutes, and not a single issue; not even with the keys (maybe they install new batteries everyday!)
There have been a number of reports here of people encountering bugs during test drives. No idea how common it is. I've done only one test drive, and the major glitch I encountered was the parking assist failing to function.

I also didn't notice that on my test drive. But from the discussion in the video, it seems the lump in the seat cushion is a bit subtle, and may only become bothersome (to some people) on long drives. I wonder if it's part of the massage mechanism.

For all the issues you've had to deal with, and still getting a 3rd Gravity, Lucid should honor you guys with a placard at their Newark, CA Headquarters and Arizona AMP-1 Factory. I am not kidding!

I have felt it in my GGT and some of the Air loaners I’ve gotten that have the massage option. I assume it depends on the last massage you used/if the rollers go back to rest all the way. It’s usually around right glute area.

Damn question here; how do you know version of your Gravity software when it hasn't yet been delivered?
From your Lucid account website, Dashboard, Owner's Manual & Software updates.

Keep in mind some can see it around the time the car ships out, but some can only see it after delivery. I've had both cases.

I’ve got 7,000 miles on our Gravity and have never felt any weird electronic box or whatever on any seat, much less driver’s.

I don’t think they’re holding back cars due to impending updated. Based on what Nick Twork based re: “fixes”, they’re all helpful but incremental, so I would expect they’d deliver as soon as they can given year end timing.

FWIW the sales rep at the Lucid store said they expect Car Play and Key by phone next month when I was at service yesterday (but I sadly think he's mistaken or has out of date info)
😂 They said V2H, Halo to Air and many more end of some day and that day has not arrived yet.
I feel Lucid is becoming a Legacy car company disguising as a modern age car company.

Well when you see what Rivian just announced at Autonomy Day, Lucid should be paying very close attention especially given the R2 and Earth are coming out at similar times. Lucid needs to become way more aggressive on its software and autonomy roadmap or they’ll be left in the dust.

You read my mind, i exactly posted a new thread on what everything Rivian showed today was Lucid at the time of introduction.

Same for me. Maybe I am jinxing it here.....
Had the car since Oct 20. Keyfob has been solid on both 3.3.5 and 3.3.9.
I have not updated the SW in the keyfob yet (didn't see the need to do it).

Once we did have an issue because the keycard and the keyfob tried to unlock the car at the same time,
but I chalk that up to "user error." In an ideal world, the car should be able to deal with such errors.

Apart from the keyfob being solid, I have encountered every other bug mentioned in the other threads.

My delivery is scheduled for tomorrow (Friday). The service center told me just now that the delivery will be delayed until after the software update has been installed. They said they were hoping it would be released tonight, but didn’t sound confident. They said HQ told them not to deliver any more vehicles without the update.
