Btw, love how Kyle does not want to give up on the Gravity. At the end of the review, Scot gestures reviewing it again in 2027 and Kyle is like no, let’s do another video in 2026 after Lucid has released a few more OTAs. Thought that was cool and telling.

There is no question that Conner has been a huge Lucid fan since the company's inception. And, perhaps more than any other car reviewer, he was taken into the bosom of the company from Peter Rawlinson on down in terms of listening to his input and letting him look behind the scenes on the technology side. And it was clear from his effusive praise of the Gravity back in January and in April that he was big time excited to really put one through its paces. But, knowing the company as intimately as he did, even in January he was expressing worry that Lucid might not have the software ready for start of deliveries and they might launch, anyway.

His presentation style sometimes gets on my nerves, but when he speaks on design and engineering issues, I listen. I also listened to his prolonged silence on the car during its first six months of volume deliveries, worrying that his reticence might have signaled a reluctance to say what he would have to say about the software.

Well, he's said it now, and it was as bad as I feared.

But he is also at the same place with the Gravity that I am. It's just too damn good a vehicle outside the software arena to give up on. So I, like Conner, am hanging in despite grinding my teeth down to a nub with frustration.

Hah -- his videos are so long I watch them at 1.75x, so I have an unrealistic impression that his presentation is extremely annoying (when it's not nearly as bad at 1x, just loooooooooong).

I can only handle 1.5x when listening to his videos, as he sometimes hits a rapid clip even at normal speed.

I also do a lot of toggling between speeds, as his content veers on and off topic randomly. He'll be drilling down on something important that's worth paying attention to and then suddenly say something that sends him off on a long tangent about a past experience, or an irrelevant issue or, hell, even the scenery in another state or the weather a week ago.

But, end of the day, I usually want to know what he thinks about certain things.

Also why I haven’t bought something else yet. Spending $125k+ on another vehicle and still compromising sucks (I want to compromise nothing). Rather wait for Gravity to hopefully get fixed. I have my wife chomping at the bit for a new car. We’ll see how long I can hold her off.

If you can get to a Studio but haven't yet, try to arrange a decent test drive with her in one. And try to get the sales person not to try to demonstrate all the software features because you'll likely end up feeling like a duck in a shooting gallery. Outside the software, the car sells itself. We have taken friends with us to test drives and have had innumerable people in the cars since we got them. Aside from software, everyone has been blown away by the car's ride, handling, space, style, quietness, and sound system.

Thanks. I’ve test driven it twice and love it. I messed around with every feature and no issues. Tried cruise control, switched to all different speeds. No problems. Funny how that happens.

After 6 weeks and 2,600 miles with new Gravity GT, hmp10’s characterization holds true, everyone loves the dazzling “ride, handling, space, style, quietness, and sound system.” I’m not really sure what software glitches we’re all talking about. My only ones have been 1) the key fob, solved by changing out the battery but still carry around the card just in case, and 2) it takes two taps to open the frunk. Meanwhile, just an aside: DDPro on the highway is MUCH better than Tesla’s FSD on the highway - the Gravity has no peremptory lane changes, doesn’t lag, doesn’t tailgate, isn’t freaked out passing large trucks just moves over a bit. Only wish - why don’t they put a nice analog clock on the far left of the wide cockpit screen as an option selectable via the left steering wheel pad along with tire pressure, trip odometers, etc.

I knew more than both sales reps when I test drove in Westchester, NY and Short Hills, NJ locations. Westchester was better. Crazy.

So I've read here from others. It's just a shame it hasn't happened to any of the auto reviewers and journalists who've driven the production versions.

I am willing to bet that test-drive Gravitys have an old, but known and stable software version.

I've test-driven 3 times, for total of about 100 minutes, and not a single issue; not even with the keys (maybe they install new batteries everyday!)

I was told on November 29 that the Gravity Dream we ordered was already factory gated, meaning it had already cleared final factory inspection. I was told early this week that it was scheduled to go on the next transport to leave the factory. It's still not in transit.

The last software downloads (3 of them, all 3.3.9) were done on November 25. I'm wondering if they're now delaying shipment until this new update is downloaded? Since I assume it cold be downloaded at the Service Center during PDI or later by the customer, though, I don't know why that would be a reason to delay delivery.

Mine was also 3.3.9 on Nov 25. Shipped yesterday.

That seems to be the case... mine is being held hostage at the SC with no delivery date committed

Most of the issues are just random \ sporadic so probably less likely to show up in a quick test drive. I didn't have many key issues to begin with but 3.3.8\3.3.9 have well and truly addressed the fob issue and seems so for many others also.

earlier they had been saying end of year, but I'm thinking they had a priority shift to bugs and stabilization. and for good reason.
