Regen is back! Thanks Lucid..Car feels like a solid version of what I've been used to driving for last 2.5yrs..! It's funny how quickly the mind can go back to what it knows...Audio seems to be tweaked slightly for the better...drives like a dream again...2.8.16 was total garbage...but .17 makes things ok again....I did have some bugs after update but I did a soft x, mic, brake reset twice and no issues since! Woohoo...

I tracked it and get an additional .2-.3 m/kWh.

However two days ago my efficiency numbers plummeted in a manner that some others have described here. I meant to do a reboot but it has been so long since I've done one I couldn't recall how to do it while I was in the car.
 
There are several things that contribute to the amount of battery recovery during regen, and therefore efficiency. A lower regen setting CAN improve efficiency AS LONG as you anticipate stops sooner and are able to use all of the regen for stopping. Lets assume a given downhill trip and subsequent stop generates 2kwh of energy. The battery will keep more of that energy if it is delivered slower. We all know that battery temperature affects this as well. Raw physics & battery chemistry dictate this slower-charge principle. While some of you are reporting fractional improvement or reduction of efficiency, keep in mind that tire temperature can have a significant effect as well. A warm tire has lower rolling resistance, so comparisons should be made between sessions when tire temperatures are roughly the same for each example.
